Heat and yogurt question

When I make steel cut oats for breakfast, I like them savory with salt, pepper, butter and a little cheese. I also put in a big dollop of whole milk plain yogurt. Does anyone know if adding the yogurt when the oats are in the bowl leaves the probiotics intact? That is, are the oats in the bowl hot enough to kill the probiotics immediately? I've been wondering if I'm kidding myself about getting the benefit of the yogurt.
