Please help!! How should I handle transition from tub surround?

I’ve spent way too long debating over this issue and I still don’t know what to do. We will be installing a free standing tub. Our shower is next to it on the right and will be tiled with 12x24 tile. On the wall adjacent to the tub there is a long (98”) vanity that will end right at the tub surround.

To the right of the makeup table is where the material of the tub surround will end

This is the tub surround in question

Here is our countertop material

Here is my issue.....we were originally going to add tile wainscoting around the tub in the same 12x24 tile as the shower. However, we decided against it because I didn’t think I would like how the fake marble looked when it ended on the same vertical surface as the beautiful real marble backsplash of the makeup vanity. We then decided to do a wood wainscot. My husband believes it will look bad if we end it at the vanity. (I hope I am explainomg this in a way that’s not confusing) Any design pointers would be very appreciated! So far I’ve found this forum invaluable and would love your advice.
