Another computer transition question - personal financial software

I just read that Windows 7 will no longer be supported in Jan 2020. I don’t plan to update the OS on my desktop so all the more reason to move to the MacBook. At best I might upgrade the OS if I have all my data on the laptop. Anyway, I also want to switch off Quicken, which I’ve used for 28 years, now that they‘re forcing me onto a $75/yr subscription. If the product worked flawlessly I might stay but it doesn‘t. I’ve been looking at alternatives that allow you to download all the transactions from bank and investment accounts and it seems like Banktivity7 and Moneydance are decent options for Mac.

Has anyone used either of these? Has anyone converted Quicken data to one of these? I read some reviews and got some good info about trialing the products to test all of this but wondering if anyone here has experience with any of this.
