Yahoo e-mail isn't connecting...
Comments (6)Jspeach, since you've posted I've thought about seeing someone else's posts here saying same thing. Angela, confusion made clear -simply- my pc scans clean, so that's a good news, it seems Microsoft Security-Firewall and Norton's Firewall- might have clashed, some tell me they shouldn't, that its okay to have 2 firewalls, some say to leave only one, in either case, I can't connect to Yahoo e-mail or directly to Internet Explorer, can to other sites. After talking with 2 HP tech's in India-it tires you, imagine them too, smile. I understand about fast talking at times- except when you're long distance and certain keys and letters need to be typed, takes a while to figure it, I'll call them again today, fingers crossed and knocking on the wood. Angela, I promised them recipes, make it a cookbook, if they fix my pc, lol Hope to stay in touch with you and other pals, GB Bea.Letica@Gmail.com...See MoreNew hosta lover - please tell me this isn't HVX
Comments (13)Royal Standard - could easily be - is it fairly easily available? Steve, I don't remember where I got the hosta! It's been years. Either I bought it from the local nursery (which I believe to be a reliable source) or it was given to me by a friend (which would mean it could have come from anywhere). Comforting that you all think sun scorch, although I'm surprised. I thought this was a rather shady location. Is this variety more susceptible than others? I certainly have other hostas that get more sun than these. Vein pairs - I know they can be used for ID, but I won't be worrying about that for some time. Need to learn growing and maintainence first! Fertilization - they were treated with MirAcid earlier this spring (we have somewhat alkaline soil) but have not had any other treatment. Thank you for the rapid responses. Now I will hope that no one else chimes in to say it looks like HVX! I will be posting some pics for ID soon, thank you. Comments (15)We emailed the construction supervisor (haven't talked to him yet) and talked to the sales counselor. She said that they would address it. We will get an update from the supervisor today on the house and will talk to him about this. I am just surprised nobody including us noticed it until now. It took the windows and siding up to actually make it noticeable. NOw that is all I see now! As for any other non apparent mistakes I hope there is none. They have been good at fixing other mistakes. They had framed our study doorway to a 29 wide entry when it should have been around 60. Big difference but it was taken care of. As for the extra insulation we didn't tell them in writing. They had the insulation inspection last week and the structural on Friday. The supervisor said they would be delivering the dry wall on Friday but when we drove by at 3pm Friday it wasn't there. We went on a little vacation and came back Monday night to find that they had worked on it this past weekend. My husband is disappointed because he was going to put the extra insulation in and work on a closet he was putting in himself. Now he will have to wait. I want the house to keep moving as we are on a tight schedule on moving out of our current house. We are renting from the new owners after we close tomorrow until Sept 30. I have my doubts that it will be done in time. I just want all the mistakes fixed. That is more important than moving in in time. Don't hold me to that last comment. I might be pulling my hair out then!...See MoreMy Lamp is Here and the News Isn't Good :(
Comments (22)Thanks everyone! I LOVE it :) cmarlin, I love what you said :) There are so many styles I see here that I wouldn't do (in a million years) but I like it in their home and happy for them. The new lamp is on it's way. I've had a new development with bulbs. The lamp uses two bulbs. One has exploded and two days ago, one burned out...a brand new bulb burned out in 3 days. DH is re-thinking his thoughts that it was the bulb. Plus, as fast and without input from me, the company immediately wanted to replace the lamp. Sounds like maybe this isn't the first time they've had to replace this lamp....See More
