If it isn't one thing, it is something else.
Comments (51)Thanks for the advice. I'm still trying to find a place for the orchid outdoors. There doesn't seem to be anywhere outside that doesn't get direct sunlight for hours at a time. Fortunately, I don't have any slugs outside (eww), and I have many potted plants outside that seem to be bug free for an occasional spider, so I moved the orchid around. For a while, it was on a gravel path. But, as I said I don't even know where to keep it outside, so it goes in and out throughout the day. I will also look for something to raise it up on once I find a place outside. Jane, that would be great if it would spike! Sarah...See MoreIf it isn't one thing it's another!
Comments (6)Everyone has heard my Cleo stories. She's Hyper with a capital H. She's also definitely a hunting dog. (She's a rescue from Animal Services.) This morning as I was watering, I found Honeybells and Bridegroom upside-down and June Fever sideways. I assume she chased a squirrel up the bleachers again. I don't think bleachers was the best idea I ever had. This is my last year for that one. It works well for Paula, though. I'm glad it's August. bk...See MorePinks and Blues and I Love You's ( g-babies v-day table
Comments (14)How wonderful! I'm sure this table really made them feel grownup--and special! (And of course, those lollipops would have produced big smiles!) That was really sweet of you to do this for them. I'm sure you already are the "favorite" Nana! ;o) My granddaughter loves to play in the living/dining room where most of my favorite pieces are. She once picked up a pretty cup and saucer and I said "Oh, we can't use that honey, it might get broken". She got a sad look on her face and said "You just don't trust me". Now she was only four at the time--but I suddenly realized that this was the time where I should explain about carefully handling pretty "treasures" and then use it for a tea party with her. She now loves using the "grown up" cups and is careful with them. And you know what? If one did happen to get broken,--it's not nearly as important as she is. Luvs...See MoreSoap dispenser
Comments (6)I have two Elkay Gourmet soap dispensers. I most certainly DID obsess over my choice to find a long enough spout without being too long and to find one that coordinated well with the clean lines of my Hansgrohe faucets and the rest of my kitchen. I had used a cheap one from the big box store in my former kitchen to good effect, but I wanted just the right ones for my new space. After all, it's something you look at often and use many times per day. It's worth a couple of hours (much more in my case) to get it right. Left to chance? Very little in my kitchen....See Morejim_1 (Zone 5B)
