I lost a few things and some failed to bloom this spring - these were well established plants. In my soil the better the drainage the better the plant health. I've taken to slightly raising each plant when I put it in - they sink down as they settle but at least that first yr it improves the drainage....See Morekhandi, almost 'Never fail 7-minute icing' question
Comments (2)I've made the caramel one most often because that's the one we really like. Can't remember about the rest, but have not tried the chocolate or put any colors in it. Was your chocolate cooled? Maybe u have to drizzle it in very slowly so it can take it in more easily without collapsing? Maybe when you add the color, it would be best to add it in the water? I do remember that a few times, it took more than 7 minutes to achieve the proper consistency. We really liked the caramel flavor and texture! (We had it with a lemon cake.) Hope this helps somehow....See Morenever fail pie crust

Like yours she mixes the egg and vinegar in a cup and adds the cold water. Haven't seen brown sugar in a crust recipe before....See MoreMissing brunch guests- how people never fail to surprise....
Comments (63)Maybe they realized after they had eaten and felt better that what they did was rude, so they came back to try to be polite and make amends? It sounds like they were fine after they returned and sent a thank you note, which I find to be pretty rare these days. I still think the dinner invitation was a lighthearted attempt to assure the hostess that her food quality wasn't why they left. I guess I have a higher tolerance for people making etiquette mistakes than most people here. I always assume there's something going on that I'm not privy to and give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm socially awkward myself and I'm sure I've stuck my foot in my mouth a few times without intending to offend anyone....See More- 7 years ago
