Fertilizer Program for Containerized Plants III
Comments (150)Hey Josh, I have been been using Pro-Tekt with my Foliage Pro all winter and i can say that my plants have definately been happier than in the past... When i take my rain water and place it in my watering cans, i add the Pro Tekt first to all of the water and then stir it in. (1/4 tsp per gallon) Then i go back and add my Foliage Pro to the water. I keep it upstairs and let it warm to room temperature and then water. The combination of the two will definately help your plants and im so happy to have found my Pro Tekt. My Hydroponics dealer had to order it for me. I still can't find or he wont (says he cant..) order it for me. He looked it up and says its not available. Hmm? I still order my Foliage Pro from Ebay. They have free shipping anyway. Have fun with your Pro Tekt!!! Hope you are feeling better!!! Happy Spring AL!!! Take Care, Laura...See MoreI love a Mystery (Rose), Don't You?
Comments (13)Lux -- "Jesse Hildreth" and "Honeymoon Cottage Hidden Garden Purple" weren't dropped from commerce. They've not been IN commerce. Both are NoCal discoveries -- the former from a cemetery. The latter from a vacant lot where, clearly, there was once a garden. The truth is, there just aren't enough nurseries to take into commerce all of the really great Found Roses. (Tho Vintage offers some Found Roses, and a few other adventurous nurseries do.) I think that's where sales of rare roses are important. Some Found Roses are sold each fall at the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden's Open Garden; Many are distributed at Sacramento City Cemetery events; Some are distributed when groups such as the California Coastal or Ventura Co. Rose Societies have sales. And some are "passalongs." I'm glad that, probably, we will have 4-5 "Jesse Hildreth" in a few months. I hope the Heritage can come up with a few of "Honeymoon Cottage Hidden Garden Purple." Jeri...See Moreupdates continued thru March 18th.
Comments (2)These stories are terrific. I'm so enjoying them & am glad you're sending them to the forum, not only to keep us abreast and for our entertainment, but so you've got a record with fresh details of your journey. All the little events that make the ride so special would be lost down the memory hole if you'd tried to recall them after the trip. Life is more colorful in Louisiana, isn't it? People there will interact with total strangers -- it's great. I'm praying for good weather & safety for y'all....See MoreWho has the best pet names?
Comments (56)One Spring, a friend got an Irish setter and named her April May. My daughter always named our pets. We had a poodle she named Spiro Agnew, but later changed it to Spooky. Then we had a husky-spitz she named Rachael and a hamster around the same time was named Jamie. If anyone remembers the soap opera "Another World", Rachael and Jamie were mother/son characters on that show. Parakeets were Sugar and Spice. A turtle was named "Yurtle" (as in a Dr. Seuss book)....See Moreont_gal
