This is an interesting post. I saw many that I would love to add here but being in Canada not all are available to me without purchasing a phyto , big shipping charges as well as the conversion of the dollar ........so mostly I stick to Canadian growers. That being said this is what I have chosen ( so far) to add to my gardens this year .

I had forgotten about Entwined in the Vine, I have admired that one too. I was not familiar with several of them so had to look them up. Should not have done that could easily add a couple more.

You picked some real beauties, looked them all up. I did buy two large clumps on the lily auction. Soco Gap And Strength And Beauty at 7 and 10 scapes respectively. I have some single fans coming from Northern Lights, ordered from them two years ago and am really happy with them. I have more coming from two other places, the names escape me at the moment. I will be removing some doubles I have in the gardens.

Nancy, I will be checking your posts, and maybe there is something we could trade. In general, I hear that RFK is very slow to multiply. On the other hand, there are some who claim good growth. It's almost as if there is more than one strain of it out there. I do suspect that it is quite slow, as I see hybridizers claiming that their RFK kids are more vigorous than the parent. Mine has yet to multiply from two fans, and this will be the fourth year. I advise that when you order from a Northern greenhouse (as I also do), you keep plants segregated for the first year; rust can overwinter in a greenhouse.

This fall I got & planted Labyrinth, Thomas Tew, Yellow Monkey, Laura Harwood, Highland Pinched Fingers, "Kate's Smile" and Kate's white noid. Thanks Kate & Laura!

Top tier of my future wish list includes VT RR Red, VT Bridal Lilac, Pinhill Claret Symphony, Pretty Desirable.

Second tier: Spirit of the Dove, Liberty Banner, Neon Flamingo, Allegheny Skyline, Jellyroll Morton, & Catastrophe Waitress. This is way more than I have room for, so unless I get rid of more, only the top tier is even possible, and just barely.

I have 3 coming from Northern Lights this spring too, I have not ordered from them before. I have not ordered too much from online sellers, other than Maryotts. Bought and traded for several last fall, so I will have some new ones for this year. I will have to get rid of some before I get more, but I have several that can go. Hopefully this year I can actually get rid of more that I buy. Of course, I have multiple clumps of some plants, so I really do have some space. Hummmm.

A trade would be fun, Mantis! RFK is rather pricey to me right now, so I am going to see if there is a cheaper one that looks like it. Actually, several I am wanting cost more than I like to pay. I tend do lose plants to crown rot every summer, and those would probably be the one to get hit. Usually it waits a year or 2 before hitting, so i do get to enjoy them for a while. Good advice about rust. I ran into it on a few trades over the years, but lucked out on the whole

Brad, Allegheny Skyline is one I got in the fall. I struggled over Neon Flamingo and White Eyes Pink Dragon, they look too similar in pictures. I had 3 different people assure me they preferred WEPD, so I went with that one.

Nancy, I will check RFK. I know it has increased tremendously here and even though you are north of me not too far probably. I haven't had Jelly roll long enough yet to be dividing it. If Handwriting trade doesn't work out, I have that one and can send some....I have Chip Off The Old Block...that is a great rebloomer too and I have a lot. I don't have the others you are looking for, but we can get together and I will send some to you later.

Well, So far, Jellyroll is doing well. I find that WEPD and NF look quite different here. I really like both of them, and the one thing that might make you happy is that WEPD re-blooms for me and NF has not so far. Nancy I always share with my FB friends...They just grow and have to be divided anyway, as you know, And I have had Forum friends just delight me by sending plants to me. I miss new York Rita, because her projects were fun to watch, and her blooms were beautiful. she is the one that sent me Philistine Champion because I loved it, so I am just paying it forward.

I don't think I ever listed the ones I am getting from Northern Lights. I have said I was going to only get tried"good" plants that I have seen all of you recommend, but i chose these because i wanted a patterned, and a toothy plant. Two of these are Lambertsons too, which don't tend to do very well, but they were pretty cheap. Anyway, I got Complex Complexities, multiple Multiplicities, and Totally Hooked.

Kay, Rita added so much to our forum, I really miss her. Loved the photos she shared of her tiered gardens. She sent me some daylilies too, one was Clown parade, which may still my favorite daylily.

Rita is now on NGA or the old All things Plants forum . You could probably catch her there .

If anyone is wondering about Northern Lights, I got four single fans from them in 2017. All three bloomed the first spring/summer here. All added fans the first season here. They were Blue Beetle, Silky Skies, Upgrade and Little Showman. Upgrade did the best so far, spring of 2018 I had four fans and two scapes. Coming from them this spring, all single fans should be Avian Artist, Martian Moons, Pattern Master, Solar Blast And Too Nancy With Love. I’m hoping these do as well as the others I got from them, prices were very reasonable for what I ordered.

I noticed that Igor and Entwined in the Vine are listed as only hardy to zone 5a. Those could be an issue for me since I am almost on the edge of 4b.

I did though order Pink Stripes and Bogeyman. PS was on my mental list.

Brad, I'm just getting back from my trip down south and just saw your 'want list'. Of course I can help you out with those VT daylilies you want and Pinhill Claret Symphony. I will see how my shoulder does with digging come spring (which is late here, probably May). If not spring, then fall....but I will try my best.

Brad, Mantis said Smokey's sends small plants, the prices seemed too good to be true.

I got a few new ones last fall, but I won't be adding any this year as I am absolutely out of room. I downsized by 66 last year. This year I hope to move out some more.

No adds but definitely subtracting again this year. I've vowed not to add another bed and only add annuals and other low maintenance perennials to existing beds. I'm waiting to see which daylilies I moved last fall to existing beds to see what made it. I think several I moved 3 years ago as clumps will be oversized this year so they may need dividing.

Wow! You are a brave woman. I did manage to do away with as many as I added last year, and that is a win for me.

Well, you are all a better man than I , Gunga Din! Kudos to all who can manage to delete from their daylily stash. I just can't seem to do it I can't even compost one .

I read Nancy's post and thought . "Gee, is she my missing twin LOL ! So much of what she says matches what I do here. I for whatever reason am unable to give up any of my beauties . The only ones I freely let go are seedlings that are not of interest to me for my potential breeding goals . Its not that they are ugly it just I can only manage so many breeding goals at a time and I have about a gazillion seeds need planting .

For myself , I am the opposite of Julie, I just can see wasting my time on annuals. Of course I have a few but I long since gave up on those beauties because they need so much attention and watering that I just don't have time for .

I was out there again this morning ( it is finally starting to warm up ) and discovered a bunch of the daylilies I had to replant into the ground in February are shoved up out of the ground again. Fortunately I had bought some bags of soil last fall , and right now the ground is frozen solid so no other alternative but to dump the soil from the bags in the gardens covering up exposed roots. I will need to bring in 2 more bags to thaw and head out there and do some more covering up

I have heard and read both good and bad reviews of Smokey's Daylily Gardens however the site itself says Lifetime replacements. So that is something you don't see at many daylily places.

I haven't had the experience because they dont ship to Canada . In my humble opinion any time you try a new seller you run the risk of possible bad plants or mixed up plants but usually the seller will try to redeem themselves by sending the right plant if you notify them . I always figure it is worth it to try a small order and if you are happy great. If you are not pleased obviously you don't go back for more but if you are you can always place a second bigger order.

Mantis, I apologize, I read my post and I was not at all clear, was I? I was kicking myself at the time for not researching it more before I even mentioned it, but should have said that you had no personal experience with them either. After what Signet said, it might be worth a try. The only online sites I have ever purchased from were Maryotts, and from Northern Lights, and don't expect to get my order from them til May, I think.

Looking over my list above and my plant chart, I figured a way to make room for at least a couple of my second tier group!

Brad, dontcha just love when that happens!! It's like Christmas when they come in ! Of course after the initial surge of delight comes the work but oh well ! LOL !

I ordered from Smokey’s about 6-7 years ago, so not sure my experience is still relevant. It was the first online daylilies I ordered, now I know the fans were small compared to recent online purchases. Everything I got survived here.

Peren.all ......please, no worries about being presumptuous . If you are looking for a particular daylily , ask me . I just might have some to share. Much rather share than have plant not do well cuz it needs dividing . The reason I have some Pink Stripes to share is I divided my clump to share with a friend last year or year before ( I forget) and when I went to plant it back , I took a single fan and planted it elsewhere . It has increased now so although not a huge clump still enough to share. I do that a lot , plant single fans off of a clump I am digging up I mean , that way I can share and not have to disturb the main clump again.until it needs it a couple of years down the road . I have to get off my duff and update the cultivars but you may see something you have been wanting there . If not , just ask OK ! Good to know about Smokeys, Sherry. I just bought from someone on another forum. I keep saying I am downsizing, but not acting like it. I got Heman, Wise Whiskers, and Turn up the Volume. I know Heman is supposed to be a good plant, I have not heard of Wise Whiskers before, I have seen Turn up the Volume pictures here but don't remember anything about it.
