You can order samples on the website. I called and talked to a very nice lady there named Barbara who answered all my questions and is mailing my samples. The samples are small so you may want to order more than one of each color you like.

I ordered samples this evening, but was hoping to hear from someone who has installed and lived with the Essentials flooring. Also would love to see install pics of the two colors.

There are room scene photos of each color on the website. In the description for Caribou it says color is gray, and it looks gray with some brown in the photo. The Moose Lodge looks more brown with some tan and gray in the photo, but the description just says gray. Colors can be very deceiving on monitors and on my iPad. It’s certainly not easy deciding on a color. There are some very good YouTube videos comparing the different colors which might help you.

I received my SuperCore Essentials sample today and I'm a little concerned about the durability. I accidentally dropped of my SuperCore originals samples yesterday and the corner broke off. The Essentials is even thinner. I also lightly ran a knife around in circles over the top and you can see all the scratches. Maybe it's this way with all vinyl? Anyone with installed Essentials have comments?

You still find the floor to be comfortable to walk and stand on with no shoes? I prefer the durability of the SPC (this will be in our basement where our younger kids sleep and play) but it's very hard! I appreciate all your assistance in answering my questions. I prefer carpet but we're replacing the floor because of water problems and I don't want to have to rip carpet up in the future if there are more. Thus, I turned to vinyl. ETA: I just realized your floor isn't installed yet =)

No, we still have carpet and oak parquet to take up and a lot of concrete slab flattening to do. I don’t think the SuperCore can be any harder than our oak parquet plus the SuperCore has a foam pad on the bottom. I don’t ever want carpet again. We both have allergies and carpet doesn’t help with allergies.

You can always put down some rugs to soften the floor up a bit. If those get wet, you can wash or discard them. Suseyb has a rug called Ruggables (I think that’s the name), and the top of it comes off the padding and can be washed. One of those might be great for your children’s play area.

Good luck with your choices. I’ve been looking at flooring for one year and have enough samples to start my own store. Wish I could think of something to use them for rather than just discard them. I‘ve been moving my SuperCore samples around in every room where we plan to install it, and it looks great everywhere. I’m really excited to get it down, but I’ll have to be patient my husband tells me.
