MainaGal, Thanks! The kids have been doing so much more for themselves since the remodel was done because now they can reach the things that they need. They all make their own eggs, get the plates out, clean up, make their lunches,fill their own water bottles for sports, etc. It's amazing how putting things within easy reach changed our routines for the better. Since they are still short, I have almost all the dishes low in drawers so that they can unload the dishwasher too (no excuses that they can't reach!). Some of the things I prefer higher and I'll probably move them up as they grow taller. I did forget to plan a place for the dog food though, so it's still in the pantry many steps away from where it should be, oh well. Good luck with your kitchen!

Kathy, I have the same issues. I researched and found for a solution the Ladylux Cafe Ladylux Plus pullout (33737DC0). Hopefully it will be installed within the week. It has a 10-3/8" reach, 12-5/8", and 10-9/16" from spout to top of sink. I found really good reviews for it. It may be the faucet (or discontinued version) that Oaktown has (see msg above). And as stated, it is not elegant looking but I am hoping will be a back saver. The reason I got the discontinued version is that I wanted the handle to move forward and backward from vertical instead of up and down from horizontal. I plan to put the handle in front to make it more accessible as well as for any dripping from wet hands to be into the sink rather than on the counter. Edit: Flow rate on discontinued one is 2.2gpm. Actually right now you have 21'9" or 261". If you take one foot away from the kitchen/dining area I created to add to the entry, that leaves you with 20'9" or 249". Perimeter cabinets with counters take up 25.5" leaving you 223.5" Assuming an aisle of 48" (which is considered ideal) that leaves you 175.5". An island with counter seating is 42" wide which would leave you 133". A standard dining table is 42" wide which would leave you 91.5". Assuming you need a minimum of 36" behind the dining table, that leaves you 55.5" between the island and the edge of the dining table which is just shy of the 60" which is considered ideal. So it's quite possible to have what you want and increase your entry by 1' to 5' wide.

Sorry but the shelving next to the range is abad idea but as for hardware I would just do a simple satinless bar pull and now let the live edge shelves be the star. As for lighting do you mean above the island or overall. Overall the pot lights should be LEDs in4000K range and as for pendants above the island what is the general style of the rest of your lighting
