Lee Industries cushion options
Comments (3)I am looking at 5285 sectional. I haven't ordered because I can't decide on cushions. I emailed lee last monday about cushions and haven't heard anything yet. I sat on 2 different lee couches (not the 5285)at showroom, both with standard cushions. One couch felt firm with good support, the other couch was bouncy and I sank down 2-3 inches. It was hard to believe they were both standard cushions but we looked at tags of both. The store suggested I order the extra firm standard cushion. But am not sure that would be too firm??? I sat on chairs that were cloud 9 and Haven. They were very soft and didn't sink down much but not sure how they would do in a sectional or couch. I am looking for cushions that will hold their shape and not compress, I don't want to have to fluff cushions all the time. I want comfort, but do not want to sink into the couch....See Morelee industries vs henredon
Comments (1)Lee should be less expensive than the Henredon. Quality-wise there shouldn't be much difference. If one of your main concerns is long-term durability, pay attention to the fabric you choose. The cost of the fabric has no relationship to its durability. Very expensive fabrics can be very delicate while cheaper fabrics can be very strong. Comments (11)All of my upholstered pieces are made by Lee. I can't say enough great things about them...wonderful company. I have had my furniture for almost 7 years and it is in great shape. They are in our living room, and get used all day every day (old house, no family room). My sofa is slipcovered and after having it, I will never buy a sofa or chair without them. It is due for a new cover, though as I'm ready for a change. I'm posting a link to my LR below. The chairs didn't come with slipcovers, so I had some custom made. BTW...I had so much faith in LEE and the retailer, I bought my chairs without even seeing or sitting in them. Just saw the picture in the book. I get tons of compliments on how comfortable they are. If you flip through some of the pictures, you will see them. Hope this helps! Here is a link that might be useful: My LR...See MoreAre Lee Industries and Company C sofas good quality?
Comments (1)I used to use Lee Industry furniture extensively in my design business - one of the few mid-range companies that allowed COM(customers own material). But I've heard some things recently that are troubling, concerning their quality. No personal experience, though, with recent purchases. I think the last time I ordered from them was 8-9 years ago....See MoreNancy
