I got Cloud 9 and love it. I definitely do not feel like I'm sinking in it. My sofa is a tight back so I don't have to worry about back cishions but my understanding is that their Cloud 9 package is for the seat cushions only. Good Luck.

Their is really not much difference in a Lee back cushion than a Vanguard back cushion or Century back cushion or any other better quality upholstery. Its either going to filled with conjugated polyester fiber or a blend of this fiber with feathers/down or a straight feather and down cushion. And their going to outsource the manufacture of the seats and back cushion fills to a fabricator that specializes in this operation. If you want a back cushion that holds most of its shape but still has some sink-in feeling then get a blend. A blend of 50% conjugated fiber and 50% mix of 90% feather and 10% down. A very common back cushion fill. Of course none of these fills will ever equal a latex foam filled back cushion, for soft comfort that never looses its shape. Expensive but well worth it.

I have the cloud nine and find it too hard and uncomfortable. Reached out to Lee and they said they could only replace the cushions with the same type (which if they are uncomfortable, why would u want more of the same) but would they would put a note to make them softer. Still hard and uncomfortable. So essentially a waste of cushions and shipping altogether for Lee and myself instead of trying to please a customer. The fabric (linen looking) also pills badly, and they told me to shave with a sweater shaver or sand w sandpaper to get off all the little balls. (I have no pets so this is just normal wear) This is with calling them soon after receiving the couch. So they aren’t going to do much for you if the fabric isn‘t holding up or you are not satisfied with the cushions. A very expensive sofa to purchase for such poor customer service. Yet being that I don’t wish to add this big thing to the landfill and need a sectional, I will be purchasing new cushions and very expensive slipcovers. (Likely spending more than I would for a new couch) my friend has the same sofa, different cushions, and it’s very comfortable, so I have hope. Unfortunately she doesn’t remember which one. So far cloud nine is hard and maintains shape and down is comfortable but needs constant fluffing. So I’m thinking that maybe leaves the Haven. Maybe you should look at Restoration Hardwares cloud collection. If I purchased a new sofa, that was one I was considering. Good luck on your purchase getting stuck w one for several thousand dollars that you are not happy with is definitely a bummer.

My advice would be to find out which local retail showroom in your area carries Lee Industries furniture, then go do a sit test. They may not have the exact sofa you want to buy, but they will likely have other upholstered pieces with the various firmness levels for you to try. This is a very personal thing--like picking out a mattress--so actually experiencing the feel of it is best. In general, however, Lee's quality is quite good, so no matter which version you go with it will last you a long while.
