Looking for Electrolux and Bosch double wall oven Reviews
Comments (25)Hi again, Lilia. Sears outlet is a wonderful resource. I bought a great Samsung fridge with a teeny dent, yeah in the front, for my daughter, for a terrific price. Sears may be the largest appliance retailer in the world, and their outlet stores are the way they get rid of, or put back into circulation, the dents and scratches or reconditioned items. I had no qualms. Getting a 30" was easy for me as we did a gut reno, with all new custom cabinetry. But, keep in mind that a lot of the fancy, expensive stoves/ranges (not cooktops necessarily) have smallish ovens. Those buyers adore huge flames on their cooktops, and pay little mind to the size or functionality of their ovens(in my opinion). They lust after the searing capability of their stovetops and don't give a hoot about ovens. Tons of expensive ranges/stoves have ovens that are way smaller than 27" wall ovens. Cj47 who posted here is a particular hero of mine, and a respected cook and baker. She modestly gave her opinion and said,' oh, contact me'. Cj has, as I recall, 3 hungry teens. She has a Miele induction cooktop-I have a Bosch induction cooktop. Her cooktop is $800 more. My kids have long flown the coop. She cooks and bakes daily. I am an empty nester, with an anorexic husband(he really hates to eat!) and don't cook much anymore. Yes, my accumulated cooking time amounts to something, but not like Cj. I bake bread as a new hobby, she bakes for real. When Cj says something about cooking or her appliances, I listen, a lot. So maybe a 27" oven is less than your existing oven in interior dimensions but will function just fine with 2 or 3 sheet pans. think of bluestar, capital, aga, etc., owners with much smaller ovens-who have self smug faces because they have 15 foot high flames! Ask Cj, a real cook, who feeds her family well....See MoreHelp me decide: Bosch double oven vs. KitchenAid oven/micro combo

Comments (4)I agree with Jpmom that you don't want a MW on top of a double oven - it's just too high. However, although she does not like a MW drawer, many people on this forum adore theirs (note that all MW drawers are made by Sharp, so if you decide to get one, no need to pay up for a different brand name, as it is just a rebadge). Is there no other location in your kitchen? Do you have a pantry where you could keep the MW? There was just a recent thread on this MW placement topic. http://ths.gardenweb.com/discussions/3833699/placement-of-a-microwave?n=42 I am not a fan of the oven/microwave combos, as I think there are too many compromises in both in order to combine them. Just MHO. If you are doing a major kitchen remodel, you might want to re-think the cooktop in the island, mostly because how are you going to exhaust it. This topic has been covered a zillion times on this forum, but the upshot is if you care about good exhaust, you should have your cooktop on a wall, so that the exhaust capabilities are not hampered by trying to exhaust over an island setup. On the other hand, many people are absolutely fine with poor or no exhaust, and perhaps that is you, so never mind....See MoreUpdate on America Range Hybrid French door double oven.
Comments (0)It took almost a year and three different ovens installed before we got a working oven. No repairmen would work on the oven due to its weight or their lack of knowledge. Within 2 months, I figured out why the lower electric oven was burning everything on the top while the middle was uncooked. No matter which rack I used, cakes or bread or anything burned on the top, but wasn't completely cooked on the inside. Sometimes the bottom was burned too. Emails to A.R. started again, but I gave up after no response. So the electric oven came from the factory unusable in 2013. Now it is 2017, and I am having trouble with the gas oven again. After the oven has ignited and has been on for a while, it starts making huffing or whooshing noises that continue for 5-25 minutes. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. I found a video on YouTube with the same issue. From 0:56 to the end of the video really shows the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4ygoiLDaBI So I obviously gave up trying to get A.R. to fix the electric oven. Now since the gas oven is having problems and the electric oven burns everything because the top element doesn't shut off after it has preheated, I have no working oven. So now, I am back to finding a repairman again. I called A.R. today and they gave me the same companies that could not work on it the last time. I have kept all emails and names so I know who could not work on it the last time. After 4 years, they are doing the same old thing. This is a $7,000.00 lesson to learn. I am curious to know about any other A.R. owners updates. I also would like to know if they have heard the whooshing noises from their gas ovens and how they were fixed (which parts, etc.) and what was done about the electric ovens upper element and how they were fixed. Thanks, Peke...See Moreccwatters
