Help with Living Room, pls!
Comments (10)I, myself, wouldn't buy a new rug until I bought the new furniture. Just remove the one you have now and see if you can live without one. I know sometimes a room can develop an echo, so be aware of that. Have you tried placing the couch in front of the window? Keep the one recliner where it is and put the second one in the other corner. If that doesn't work, then perhaps draw up a plan of your living room with wall measurements, etc....See MoreHelp, I don’t know what to do with my weirdly shaped bedroom
Comments (4)Is this room a blank slate? Or do you have any furniture/rugs/window treatments/etc. that you are going to use? Here are some boho chic rooms for inspiration. You'll note that many of them are painted white, with color and pattern in textiles and art. Keep in mind that when you decorate a room, the wall color is only one piece of the puzzle. It needs to work with everything else you choose to have in the room. Plan it out before you buy that can of paint!...See MoreHelp! don’t know what to do with my laundry room
Comments (3)How much space is between the sink and the wall? If you want one cabinet to fit that space, you might try a ready-to-assemble PANTRY TYPE cabinet. But, those start at 18" wide x 24" deep x 84" high up to 96". There are similar ready-to-assemble LINEN TYPE bath cabinets, and most resemble furniture. Many are narrower, but they also tend to be shorter and might not hold an upright vacuum well, much less a broom. Perhaps a better alternative is to leave the space next to the sink for a trash container, and put a larger cabinet on the wall opposite the sink. Still, it would be better to choose a less deep cabinet so as to allow plenty of space in front of the sink, and a wider, but less deep, linen type could work. Just remember that tall cabinets should be attached to the wall to prevent accidental tip overs....See MorePlease Help! I don't know what to do with my bathroom!
Comments (15)I found some pics on Houzz that might inspire you? If you have three bathrooms they can all have a different 'feel' but be tied by a similar color. It can be the same color in each bathroom but going pale pastel in one to bold in another depending on your desire.....to choose a color I would select from colors already existing in your home and really a color close to eacj bathroom. The pics represent colors and degrees of intensity and metal options. Looking only at the graphics and then you choose the colors and finishes to complete the room. I am talking too much. Have fun with the pics for inspiration. 1. Bold in paint and wall paper but again endless possibilities for the bath. Lots of energy. 2. This bath is the exact opposite of above but painting a white that works as one of the colors in your tile only changing the fixtures makes a statement and you could only change the vanity fixtures and put in plate glass to open the room. Tres chic. This could highlight your beautiful tile/stone work in the room. Monochromatic 3. Accent wall says it all. Only on color accent against a neutral paint 4. And of course basic Black which is the highest contrast with white, and therefore the most drama....love the simple painted mirrors which saves money for new lights and the chrome fixtures are already in place; another way to save. Deep dark bold....See Morekulrn
