Help choosing paint color with pinkish-coral bricks.
We are removing the tudor façade stucco and replacing with Hardi-plank lap siding. I'm not fond of the pinkish-coral brick and don't want a paint to match one of the shades in it. I'd like a gray that will contrast nicely with it but everything I pick seems either too blue, too green, or too lavender (the lavender especially in afternoon light). Whatever body color we choose, we plan to use SW's Alabaster for the trim.
We face northwest.

I actually found a neighborhood near here (tipped off by my neighbor who's been thinking of doing this for ten years but has yet to pull the trigger) where there are tons and tons of houses like ours, most painted a single color. They look great. And it's in a very fancy area, which I think explains the greater prevalence of doing this than my specific neighborhood, which is nice but not ritzy (since painting the brick adds a lot of $$). I took pictures of some of these houses, which I'm happy to post. I think it's important though to hire a really really good painter, and to shell out the extra $ for good paint. Comments (17)Nice house and yard. Consider choosing a dark bold brown for the fascia/soffit (and, perhaps, around your bold red door) but leave all the window trim white. Comments (6)I like the colour of your siding & wouldn’t change. If this is a beach house, I would paint the front door a soft beach glass blue/green. I would also play with the colour of your trim. Perhaps a darker version of the front door colour instead of white. So everything that is currently white, paint a darker grey-ed blue/green....See More
PRO5 years agoCan't really imagine someone changing the stucco to lapped siding. That's why we need to see the house in total.

PRO5 years agolast modified: 5 years agocan't you paint or stain the brick? Romabio has specific products just for brick/masonry. Or, just paint out the pink bricks to match the white ones. Then you can pick any color you like.
why are you choosing gray for a Tudor?
as for the gray, you need a a gray that leans more beige tone. I'm surprised the Keystone doesn't work.what about Kendall Charcoal or Chelsea Gray?

Stucco was removed and replaced with Hardi-Plank. Sherwin-Williams Dovetail siding and S-W Alabaster trim. We did away with the Tudor style due to not wanting to replace the old stucco with new stucco and we weren't fond with the Hardi stucco board. I mostly like the new look even though am not crazy about the blank space above the front door (perhaps need a window there?) but that's a job for another day.
