Need suggestions on curtains for family room
Comments (7)Congrats to you and your new little one!! I have been looking for curtains/drapes for my dining room slider and I have found some great choices on jcpenney.com and also country curtains.com. Your room is lovely and I think a colorful print would be great... it would be shame to cover all that beautiful moulding but there are inside mount valances or how bout a panel on each window with a tieback.. for example, left window with tieback to left and right window with a tieback to the right.. then the moulding won't be totally hidden under panels on both sides of the window...hopefully i am making sense.. and for the slider either a matching valance or a slider panel.. I have ordered panels for my slider from jcp that are backordered but should be shipped any day now.. My room is painted Behr winter wheat with white wainscotting on bottom half of the walls so I went with spicy red to add some more color to the room.. I'll post a pic when they come in.. I hope I was some help but most of all wanted to welcome you to this forum. I am quite new here myself and I am sure you will get some wonderful ideas from the amazing people on this site....See MoreRug Help!!! New family room need rug suggestions
Comments (10)Yes, the chairs and table on the left are not in the room anymore. Those were from before I had gotten the bar. That room is new and I have just been ordering things to try them out and then returning. I do like the bar but thats really the only thing that I am tied to. I have no rug in there now and am looking for suggestions. I am as far from a designer as you can get. I do not have a good eye for these things, but love reading all the advice here. Such great ideas. Thanks!...See MoreNeed help with curtains for family room/dinette area
Comments (16)If you prefer a cozier feel and you really don’t need privacy you really need to pick your battles. If you don’t want to cover the transoms and only cover the bottoms IMO you are shortening the walls visually. You cannot treat the aquarium window separately. Your best bet is to treat them all the same with very sheer panels right to the ceiling. If not you are going to have a hodgepodge of various treatments which is going to over complicate the space....See MoreNeed suggestion for curtains/ drapes for dining room sitting room
Comments (7)I would get a new light that is LED 3500 K and in a style that actually lights the table. I would paint the walls the cream from the rug and then do pale blue silk drapes I love the rug it is IMO the best thing in the space and honestly if you don't use the DR why not do 4 chairs and a coffee table and some nice bookshelves and use as a nice spot for a glass of wine before dinner and a library all the rest of the time or jusrt anice spot to relax in the afternoon....See MoreLakshmi n
