Rug Help!!! New family room need rug suggestions

I have spent months and hundreds of dollars in return shipping costs trying to find a rug that will look good with the crate and barrel Birch rug. I recently added an addition onto my family room and now have a really large family room that is really open with lots of windows and skylights but I have created two spaces and in one I have the C&B Birch rug and love it but now I am struggling with the other area. I am adding a photo of each room and the rug here. I need a rug that will go in the other room and also a coffee table that will go in front of the loveseat in this room. Thanks in advance for your help!!
This picture is the new room right next to the family room. Ignore the seagrass chairs on the left. Those are not in the room anymore. The rug here is the Alvarez cream rug from C&B but its really too light as that room will get a lot of traffic. It is a little light with the birch rug too. The bar on the right is the pottery barn Lawrence bar that has a pewter top and goes nicely with the charcoal chairs in the family room. Any suggestions? Thank you!!!!

I tend to go more towards muted brown, red, yellow/gold, rust colors (in past), but open to other somewhat neutral palettes. I actually love the console, but was considering an antique cream color (if I could make that work?). My tastes tend to be traditional, rustic, a little farmhouse (pottery barn, restoration hardware, ballard designs) but with so many current needs, all those in a TIGHT budget! Aktillery9, i do like all of those looks. Comments (18)I happened to notice your dining room rug and I'm sorry to say it's much too small. The rug should be large enough so that you when you stand up and pull the chairs back the chairs are still on the rug. This will also give more emphasis to this area as a room instead of just a small space. I would wait, however, until you've chosen your living room rug so that the two rugs will be complementary in color and style. The size of the living room rug, by the way, should also have a very generous size. I would personally choose plain white or cream colored curtains, or curtains with a subtle pattern and color if your carpet and pillows are colorful and you put wall art in this room (which it needs). You have some blue going on with the sofa, and orange splash with that box (?) in the dining area. Blue and orange go great together! Add more of it!
