Hi, I wish to update and brighten up this North East facing room which is always dark from noon onwards. It is a traditional home, colonial revival 1920s. I am thinking curtains with a gold/ yellow pattern and white/cream background. Not a heavy pattern. I would love some fabric suggestions. Silk, cotton, linen.

I am also considering changing the chandelier shades to a white / lighter off white barrel shade.

Seriously considering selling table and making it a sitting room, library. We never use it as a dining room. This room is used 100x a day to walk through from kitchen to rest of house. I would like it to make me happy.

I can switch out rug, I have several to choose from. I have coral and beige accent chairs I can add to room.
