Stollen, thanks to King Arthur Flour

I'm sure someone out there makes stollen, I just don't remember who.

Elery is gone to a birthday party for his grandson today, I'm going to a 50th Anniversary Party in about an hour, so I was playing in the kitchen this morning. I decided to make something

"Christmas-y" that I could take to the grandkids, we're all going to the party together. To get my bread baking fix, I decided on stollen, something I seldom make. I went to King Arthur Flour, as their bread recipes seldom disappoint me.

I'm not a big fan of candied fruit, but I did candy some orange peel and added that, along with the raisins (a mix of types from Trader Joe's), candied pineapple and left out the nuts because I didn't have any. Mix, bake, brush with butter, coat with powdered sugar, what is not to like?

Oh yeah, it's good. Really good. So good it is going directly to someone else's house, but not before I had a slice with coffee this morning for breakfast.
