Comments (27)suzatwork: i have to say your floors have very much the same grain and variation in tone as my highly-coveted black walnut. they're stunning! i'm wondering how they take stain, since i'd like darker floors? my plan is to go with the walnut but i'll have to get some samples and check the amendoim out. i'll have to look it up, but also assuming this species would be harder than walnut... hmmm... GREAT! more for me to think about! thanks for posting your gorgeous floors....See MorePictures of Natural Cherry Cabinets with Wood Floors?
Comments (22)drbeanie - I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to make mistakes and searching for other input. I had to remodel a kitchen in one of our rental homes before we put it on the market last year. We had to rush to choose things because we were only in town for a very short time. I chose things in a budget and really thought it would look great. I had to see everything from pictures when it was complete, but it was AWFUL. I would have hated to have that kitchen and worried that noone would want to buy it. Luckily, it was someone's taste. I definitely didn't have the same taste as my KD and we parted ways a long time ago. My husband teases me about how much time I spend on GW - but it's been such a great place to get a myriad of opinions from people that aren't going to just be nice and say it looks good to keep from hurting your feelings. This forum has saved my sanity this time around! :) Good luck with your choices!...See MoreWall Paint color to look nice with Brazillian Cherry wood floors
Comments (2)I have Monroe Bisque on all my hallways and in our master bedroom. You can see the light and dark of it in the entry way. Same paint on both walls From Paint Colors This is BM Stone House. Darker than Monroe Bisque, but just as nice with the cherry hardwoods. Both colors really show and wear well. These rooms were painted 5 years ago this month. From Paint Colors...See MoreCherry Cabinets, wood floors and dark granite. Backsplash to update?
Comments (14)clétile.com“@Sammy I think the sagey or celadon would work, not sure if terra cotta would lighten things up to much. By brick tile do you mean brick/subway in the sagey or celadon color.” Yes? ;) Actually I was thinking of a terra-cotta brick tile glazed in a celadon or silver sage so you wouldn’t really see it as being a terra-cotta tile. Know what I mean? I’m kind of headachey at the moment so I’ll show rather than tell—sort of. Here, look at this website:Clé tile glazed terra-cotta tile Glass is also lovely in a grey/green/blue. Regarding the Ubatuba: I think it gets a bad rap as being basic, but, it’s really very beautiful and very versatile. So please keep it. :) And one of my favorite tile sites: Fireclay glazed thin brick...See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
