3 pendants? 2 Pendants? Size? Lighting up the kitchen
Comments (13)@ levy, It is math hon. Second fixture( Home Depot ) Lets assume the attachment uses 5" , the fixture itself is 12 inches, and there are three 12 inch stems and you use one. Add it up. That's 29 inches. Now add the 36 to the counter, and the 36 that IS the counter height. ....101" Ten more inches than you HAVE, floor to ceiling, unless you use no stem at all.. So I would get thee to a Home Depot, and see in person if you are determined to have three, and make sure of total and how you will HANG it. Either find the electrician with a threading tool, or get TWO of the 13" emery......at least you will have a couple 6" rods Here are THE SPECS/INSTALLATION /LINK to Emery https://www.quoizel.com/media/catalog/product/attachments/instruction_sheet/IS-ER1814_30.pdf No......you should not do three of EMERY. NO.no. no. Not even on 85 inches of counter. Look at my photo above. Those are 14" diameter with two over an 84 inch dining table...See MoreKitchen pendant lighting. Single large pendant?
Comments (4)I think a larger black tone lantern would look great. You have only a single light box.. I wouldn't do three. I would personally do one or two decent size lanterns left and right. The size and width of the island would need to be known if you are hanging multiples. Many different lanterns out there in black. I favor the Darlana by Visual Comforts. It's very well made and has more straight lines than the mock up above. The iron on the one above across the top each piece is slightly rounded. This is Darlana however obviously showing in the gold tone. It's available in dark, gold and silver tone. With a lantern the ceilings will need to be fairly high....See MoreKitchen island Pendant help! - mixing metals in Kitchen/Living/Dining
Comments (1)The large stainless won’t produce much light. The teal glass fixture will distort the colors in the room. Return them both. The first of the two lights you are considering is best. It is visually unobtrusive, does not distort the colors in the room, and is a clean simple style that will stand the test of time. The small amount of brass will not clash with other metals in your room. Alternately, if you want to match your metals, here is a suggestion:...See MoreKitchen Pendants or No Kitchen Pendants?
Comments (5)Yes, I just built and skipped the pendants over the island and instead placed two in front of the 2 outer windows of my large triple windows on the sink wall. My windows are tall (12 ft ceilings) so the pendants don't block any of the view where a normal height person would be looking out. I didn't find any photos that showed exactly what I wanted to do, but I have faith in my ideas and it worked out well! I also have recessed lighting, because the pendants are for looks/ambiance. My pendants are 14W x 23.5H....See MoreRelated Professionals
