Decorating this wall in our master bedroom... Need some help.
Comments (11)Your room is very nice. But I think to fill that wall with art/photos, you're either going to have to have very large pieces or many of them. It's not possible to tell from the one view, but the first thing I thought when I saw your pic is that I would move the head of the bed over to that wall. I am assuming there is a window on the other side of the bed to match the one we see? If so, then that wall between them is much smaller for hanging art. It also might be possible to partially block the view of the dog crates if they are behind the bed when entering the room (or could they go on the wall the door is on, so they aren't so prominent from the door view?) Placing art above the dog crates is going to look odd and unfinished to me....See MoreNeed Help with Master Bedroom Bathroom/Bedroom Layout - 1970s house
Comments (5)I like my first idea best as far as use of space. I know people say not to put toilets on an outside wall. We had one in our last house in Iowa, but we had 2X6 construction. I don't know how high your window is, but I'm guessing the toilet would fit under there. The shower would be 5 feet long or shorter if you want a wider space to get to the toilet. (kind of tight the way I have drawn). You could do a 5 and half foot long shower and do an angled door at the left end to allow room between the shower and toilet. The vanity would be about 7 feet long, unless you do a 60 inch vanity with a linen cabinet at the door. I would reverse entry door swing if you do that.. The second top right could work and you would still have a small closet. The bottom left plan would require waterproofing your front window. Hopefully someone will give you other ideas. The bottom right plan is bigger, but no closet. Each square equals 1 foot....See MoreMaster Bedroom paint/decor ideas needed!
Comments (11)I am so grateful for all of the advise I've received so far. I have a brief description of my problem to keep from posting a long post, but I've noticed it would have answered a few questions. The photos with the brown paint room was taken from the realtor's site when I first moved in. None of that was my furniture. I've been living in my guest bedroom until I figure out what to do. I've painted that room twice and hated it. It is now green and bare as shown in the photo . Green was even worse than the tanish/pink I had (I know, don't ask lol). I've since repainted my living room which is the gray paint. My living room shows the current color scheme. Right behind my sofa is a builtin nook which also has the same color scheme. I bought a used bed canopy bed that I originally wanted to chalk paint white; however, I've recently had a mind change to purchase a round bed in rose (perferred) or gray. The canopy bed is also pictured. So basically I'm starting fresh, with no bedding or colors. I did imagine painting my baseboards and molding gray with whitish wall paint. and possibly use white accessories to blend in a rose colored bed... Just a thought... I'd hate too much gray by adding a gray bed but maybe I cant see it. Once again, I appreciate all of your help.....See Moremaster bedroom room decor help
Comments (16)First I would move the dresser to the all across from the bed. Unstuff that corner with the closet or bathroom door. Then I would add some jewel tones, a much larger rug under the bed, curtains and different lamps. https://jqueen-ny.com/collections/j-queen-new-york/products/lazaro-indigo-comforter-set https://www.lampsplus.com/products/richford-brass-plug-in-swing-arm-wall-lamp-with-dimmer__1r145.html https://www.rugs-direct.com/Details/Nourison-Concerto-CNC06/140973/226986?source=roomvo...See MoreNancy K
