Comments (37)nickel, as you can tell they were in my lane facing me. I couldn't have missed them for anything! Would have had to been playing on my phone, or had my head up someplace it should not have been. I doubt the subsequent cars behind me understood why I didn't take off. At first. Comments (22)Dedtired, that reminds of a pool at the nearby Jr college where I used to live. Concrete sides and bottom and people used to put turtles in there. No natural food for them. People used to come by sometimes and feed them lettuce or bread. I bought floating catfish chow and went every day to feed them. I was there one day, and a woman and a little boy were putting a baby turtle in. I said, "this is not a natural pond....what do you think it is going to eat?". She said, "Oh, I should have brought it's food.". Oh, give me a break!!! I am sure one of the big turtles ate it. There were 60 turtles in there. One good thing that came from Hurricane Harvey. Our girl loves the ocean. I wish I had a photo to show you of her surfing "inside" a tall wave when she was younger. The first photo is in Maine and the second in Florida when we found an empty beach just before a storm. (We were surprised how difficult it was to find dog friendly beaches there.)
