Help with curtain choices for LR
Comments (7)OOOps! Do I feel dumb. The BM color is actually Davenport TAN (not brown) but it is a nice brown, I guess that's why I renamed it- heee hee. I found those on the JCP website; they are in the Chris Madden collection. They were not available in my local store, though. I will post a pic of room today, hopefully. My real dilemma is that I have this desire to have a warm chocolately room but most of the curtains I tend to like also have browns in them so I fear I will be getting TOO much brown. I really like the original color combination of the pic I posted the best, I think I am just trying to find a force them to work in my room- maybe a bad thing? Maybe I should work on a complimetary color to brown first how about this look? but using this color?...See MoreLR Follow-up Fabric found for furniture - need curtain help
Comments (2)I love all your choices. It will be a beautiful room! Love your front door too. I saw your other post about your new chandelier. It will all go together perfectly. I think I would do a cream linen drape the color similar to the chair fabric. I'd do a dark rod and use some dark furniture pieces in the room to balance the lightness. Have you ever seen the LR in the movie "Something's Gotta Give"? They used the beautiful light blues and creams. Just love that room....See MoreCurtailed by Curtains - the LR saga continues
Comments (21)I'm baaaaaaaaack. I went away for a conference for a day and a half and I'm already on page three! This board does move fast! So...my husband is fed up. This isn't exactly the first time I have jumped the gun and then tried to get him to fix it for me. He said that we need to live with it for at least a month, and then if I still want to move the rods up, or take them down completely and put rods somewhere else, fine. He'll help me then. And I'm fine with that. It seems reasonable. I did, however, find some different drapes, just to see what they would look like. They are a darkish green with a hint of gold in them. I don't know if they clash with my sofa or compliment in the same sort of family. My husband loves them, but errr... What do you think? Too dark?...See MoreNeed help picking Color for LR Sofa, Curtains and carpet
Comments (9)I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my living room. Knew the colors I was going to paint, the flooring I was going to put in and the color of he sofa. Then I went sofa shopping. I needed a 3x2 sectional for my living room (large room). I went to several stores that sold higher end furniture - wanted something that would last. One of the stores had a sofa that was the exact size that I wanted sitting in their back room - the person who ordered the sofa refused delivery - didn't care for the color. I got the sofa at 60% off. It is cream colored. I was planning on light walls and a darker gray sofa . . . Since I had not painted the walls yet I could make this purchase with little angst. Had I already painted I would have most likely still purchased the sofa as it was a much better sofa than I could have afforded without the discount and I would have re-painted the walls....See MoreRelated Professionals
