Help furnishing an awkward living room layout
Comments (7)Like you I have an awkward tv room with three double doorways, a fire place and two windows too. One thing that has helped a lot when entertaining is to have peripheral chairs next to my fire place aswell as in my three window sunroom. The side chairs are comfy yet light enough to easily pull near the main setting for football viewing, games or conversing. I would find some light yet comfy arm chairs to place in you lovely windowed nook. And a side chair or two beside the fireplace too. Move the tv a bit toward the kitchen entry maybe on an articulating arm mounted to the wall....See MoreHelp with awkward living room layout!
Comments (2)I would flip flop the living and dining areas. In the dining area, I would do banquet seating which will help to get you a little more room. The tv would have to go in front of the big window which normally I wouldn’t suggest but I think it’s the best solution for your space....See MoreNEED HELP! Awkward living room layout
Comments (7)We are in a rental home, which means no wall mounts for us! thats part of the predicament, i think. I feel like the sectional also closes off so much of the available wall space that I can't create a "nook" for my office area. The room is roughly 16ft by 17ft with vaulted ceilings. The built-in was originally a wet bar, and was turned in to an open storage area. The "bar" itself sits pretty high (too high to consider making that area of "office" style use!) So we figured that's where our TV would have to go. Thank you so much for your interest in helping me!!...See MoreHelp with awkward smallish living room layout!
