Rolled and folded baking powder biscuits recipe?

When I was young I made baking powder biscuits that were rolled with a rolling pin, folded and rolled again. Obviously this means some development of gluten, which is opposite of the slurpy wet sluge, er, dough, buttermilk biscuits I've been making since Trailrunner posted about them. Everybody loves the buttermilk biscuits, but I have fond memories of the rolled ones. The buttermilk ones are all fluff with a drier edge. The BP rolled ones have a firmer texture inside and more defined flakiness (from the roll and fold, I surmise).

I have no idea where to find the recipe, however. I suppose I could just find any old BP biscuit recipe and get to rolling, but I thought maybe some of you would have favorites that you'd like to share.

Thanks!
