it would depend on which email client you are using and you did not mention what email you are using. I would look in settings and preferences if you have those options. In my hotmail I do not think there is a way to change the size of that list of to recipients. However there is a wonderful extension for the firefox browser that will increase the font sizes on the page with just one push of a button. If you use firefox you want to add the extensions called Text Size toolbar. It has been a lifesaver for me and my poor old eyes. I use it almost daily on some of the sites that have such small print. Once you have it you will not be able to live with out it. If you are interested in getting firefox browser if you do not have it and/or adding the text size toolbar I will be happy to help you with instructions just let me know.

Are you referring to Notepad (click Start/All programs/Accessories/Notepad)? If so and a fix is not offered here you could visit How-to Geek and select a free text editor from those listed there. How-to Geek has been around forever offering solid help so there should be no fear downloading anything suggested there.

Thank you all for your help! I have passed on the info to my Dad, who seems to have blundered his way into some sort of satisfactory resolution. He has a young mate down the road (only 83 y.o.!), who does seem to know his way around a computer. Unfortunately, he hates Firefox (calls it Mozzarella!) and is set in his IE ways, but has cobbled together something for Dad. Next time I visit, I'll double check, and also install 3.5.1! Tamara, are you still checking this thread? The font size seems to be stable after a few glitches this morning. Still have to double click to go back. Still have to log in each time I stop in, despite checking the box to save the information on my computer. I have the same issues using my hubby's laptop and using IE. However, here's a funny little quirk. It seems I only have to log in each time for the Kitchen Forum. I just came from there where I wasn't logged in to this thread on the Cooking Forum where I *am* logged in. And I didn't log in inbetween stops. I'm remembered in one forum and not the other. Please get the powers that be at GW to fix this mess! Thank you!
