font size changing each page

For many moons I had my "print" at the size I could read, stayed that way, then about a week ago, I was reading something, and the print got really small, now everytime I log on I have to "control and +++" to get it to where I want it, and each time I go to a new page, or thread its the same thing. Any ideas on how to get it to "stick" where I want it to be??? or for that matter what I did?

No other sites I visit are affected, just this one.

Ellie: I can't give you a solution, but do you use Firefox as your browser? If so, there are a lot of us having this problem. And also the problem of having to double click to go back a page. It was fine one night, then the next morning it wasn't. I don't have the font problem, but others do. There are threads on Cooking and Computer Help forums on these problems. Tamara from GW responded on the Cooking forum.

Not sure what the problem is but its not you or me because mine is the same way. On occasion it has changed back to a smaller font as I was reading the post. It gives me a headache.

In a pinch you can highlight & copy the desired text. Open a word processing program and choose paste from Edit menu. If it is pages of text, click in front of the first word. Scroll to the end of the text and depress the shift key + another mouse click.

Thank you all for your help! I have passed on the info to my Dad, who seems to have blundered his way into some sort of satisfactory resolution. He has a young mate down the road (only 83 y.o.!), who does seem to know his way around a computer. Unfortunately, he hates Firefox (calls it Mozzarella!) and is set in his IE ways, but has cobbled together something for Dad. Next time I visit, I'll double check, and also install 3.5.1! Bob, When on the web surfing I like to sit back from the monitor with my feet up on the corner of the computer desk and the keyboard in my lap. I have my FF display set at Franklin Gothic Medium 20. It works much better than the default. DA

My Gmail Font size keeps shrinking

Hi, Genes. I don't have a scroll wheel or a mouse. Just a touchpad. I tried holding down the control key while running my finger in different directions over the touchpad - and also while hitting the right or left touchpad key - and also while hitting the directional arrow keys. Nothing changed. Any other things I can try? This also happens on google search pages. So it's a google thing. my other tabs - sites - are fine. Unfortunately that means that when I click on help from gmail - I get these teeny unreadable pages. Thanks. Lynn.

I was just wondering the same thing - glad to see it's not just me. I do use Firefox.

I'm having the back/double click problem. Very annoying. Don't have the text size problem though. I use Firefox with the Zoom Text Toolbar add on. With that you can change the text and it will stay that size. When you come to a site that has too small, or too large text size you just click the Icon on that Tool bar and it changes for that page. It is a great help with my vision problems. Check it out.

It's really getting annoying to have to double click and to deal with the tiny font size. I thought it was fixed but it's back again. And I use Firefox.

thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one. I use Firefox as well, didn't even think about the double clicking to go back a page, but yes I also have that issue. Guess its time to send Firefox a note about the issue. Sometimes its good that they update so often, but it will be hard to say a date it started on.

I had the text resizing problem earlier in the week and talked about it in another post. I upgraded my browser (Firefox) to the most current version (3.5.1) and the font problem went away. The two clicks to go back however is still happening.

jodi..Thanks a lot for the advice. We upgraded Firefox and no more tiny font altho I still have to double click.

I just read on the Cooking Forum that Tamara is aware of the problem and they're trying to find what's causing the glitch.
