Decorating with gray walls
Comments (15)I think using the colors in your print is a great idea and will go well with your wall colors. I have SW Collonade Gray, Agreeable Gray, and Exclusive Plum in my open concept kitchen, dining, living space. What I love most is how it changes with light, time of day, and the other colors you introduce to the room. Grays are very versatile to decorate around. I'm using the colors in my floral arrangement as my scheme: plum, with soft mustard, and celery accents. I haven't permanently placed anything yet and won't until I decide on my ceiling lights. Here are some of the mixed materials I am using, mahogany, ebony, walnut, cherry, and marble. The gold mirror is a must for me. I think I'm placing it in my dining area. It adds a warm glow and completely changes the gray....See MoreGray vs beige walls and decorating
Comments (12)Thank you for all of the feedback/suggestions. I will look into the other colors mentioned. Pps7, you have given me something to think about. I am drawn to more earthly tones, but a part of me wants to veer from my norm and try something different. I feel confident I can do a nice job decorating if I stick in the beige range but I feel lost when I think of accenting grays. I am having a hard time envisioning a plan. I need to look at some more sites and try to find some inspiration! Thanks again everyone!!!!...See MoreNeed help with couch (decor)
Comments (4)I'd use a fabric like this that pulls in the gray, dark brown, and beige of the walls and make new covers for the pillows. You can make an easy envelope style pillow that acts like a slipcover and can be pulled right off. https://www.fabric.com/buy/0288070/magnolia-home-fashions-oh-suzanni-metal Then you can use a simple beige curtain that matches your walls-maybe something with a little texture. https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-2375907/sonoma-goods-for-life-naturals-hopewell-curtain.jsp?ci_mcc=ci&utm_campaign=WINDOW&utm_medium=CSE&utm_source=google&utm_product=61361754&CID=shopping15&utm_campaignid=204517412&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlf_MBRDUARIsAD8Gj8D0LpexWqo-RMBHKeyd86qL7Lm8q-eSCH2oc2IUa1YDQ9uE9oBGrsAaAsZiEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CITLkaOs89UCFU4ZhgodqbgJrw I think you're fine to leave the seats on the dining set as is. Even though it's an apartment, it's a small investment to make in order to make it feel like your space. Hope this helps!...See MoreBrown Couch/ grey walls - what colors to get for console and table
Comments (2)IMO gray and brown do not play well toghether and you need to post pics of the space. I hate edison bulbs they provide crappy light and will cast a yellow glow on everything so the colors you have will lok very different You lightne a space with lighting so work on that and the first spot is the fan cjange the bulbs to LED 4000K ....See MoreLil S
