Asymmetrical headboard wall design dilemma
Hello all! Hoping together we can find a good solution for my dilemma. I live in a new condo build and unfortunately can not add another window like I would ideally love to do. This wall has been driving me crazy. It has this small uncentered window on one side of the bed. I've tried moving the bed over, I contemplated moving the bed to under the large window on the adjoining wall and have played around temporarily with artwork to help balance. I have a king size slay bed on order with two matching nightstands. And I'd also like to add drapes as well as window shutters for the windows. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Please help me with a solution for this unbalanced look.

Comments (6)I dont like the idea of a wall to wall shelf or any other shelf over a bed. I have visions of something coming down and landing on the occupant or occupants of that bed. I do like the color and sconces etc, in the post above by Laura. It looks great. I also would want draperies on the window. The rods should be moved out a bit, so it looks wider and put the draperies on and pull to the sides, so the window itself is open. Comments (10)If possible, use your bed without any head board until you can find one that doesn't cover the windows. Choose one that is as uncomplicated as possible -- even consider metal ones. Take some measurements. 5 years agoThank you everyone for the advice! During this time...the new furniture arrived, new bedding & paint color was updated. The TV is on top of the dresser until we get a tv mount for the opposite wall. Debating on a color for drapes and a way to tie the white of the bedding in to make the room for cohesive. So happy to finally have some balance in this room! Everyone’s input was greatly appreciated!!!

5 years agoWhat is name of wall color. Houzz has some very good drapery at great pricing. Just avoid grommet style. They take up a lot of room. What is your ceiling height? Try to get drapery length right so drapes hang just brushing floor. Account for rings and rod. Don’t hang rod until you have drapery.

If you keep the bed in front of that window, I'd add some wall decor and matching narrow lamps on the nightstands.
The TV appears to loom over the bed. Is it possible to relocate it to the wall between the two doors instead?- PRO
