If they are standard power ceiling fans and you don't plan on keeping them on high it should work out just fine. What is the spacing between your beams?

The spacing between the beams going across the ceiling is about 58". I think that is a 52" fan up there, but not sure. Thank you for your response.

It sounds a bit odd. Why do you need the chandelier, just put up the two fans.

once the ceiling is painted white the white fans will fade into the background and be there just for function. The chandelier adds visual interest and dimension to the space since it has such high ceilings.

you space can handle all 3 pieces.

Thanks for the feedback. I am worried about it looking odd. We need the fans, but I like the look of the chandelier. Especially at night, the view from the street looking into our big windows will look really pretty with the lights on.

Thanks Beverly. I was initially wanting fans with lights, but my husband said he can put a dimmer on the chandelier so we should be good with lighting for the room (12 - 60 watt bulbs!!). My husband did not like my fan choice either, so I will be looking.

The fans I am proposing do NOT have lights. But your chandelier is a 2016 design and the fan you selected is a 1989 design. They will not work well together visually IMO

i have ceiling fans in a 14 ft bedroom and a 20 ft. living room and unless they have really long drop poles you don't get much breeze. and you dont want long drop poles i dont think.

consider a standing fan or 2 in far corners of the rooms.... they look pretty innocuous now... and see how you like them. they will do far more for making a breeze than too high ceiling fans.

this 52" fan was well rated but does NOTHING up so high. when we turn it to a higher speed the pole vibrates. my husband has agreed to let me swap in a nice chandelier instead. call me a happy camper!

I have 5 white Minka Aire Concept II fans in my home. Everyone comments how they just disappear into the ceiling. They work well and are visually unobtrusive.

rainy, may i ask how tall your ceilings are? our fan is also a minka aire... i'm curious whether we are ill fated by ceiling height or fan model.

ninigret - how long is your pole? I have 18' ceilings in my family room and I'm thinking of lowering the pole(5'), down a foot or two.

4', so the fan sits at 10'. useless. totally useless.

our residence has 8' ceilings in the bedrooms and the fans work stellarly. (is that a word). we were all excited to add a fan in the master at our vacation house but as i say, epic fail.

Mine are flush mounted to 10' ceilings, so a very different situation than the OPs. The brand "Big Ass Fans" makes very large residential fans. The Haiku model is pretty and might cover the function of the fan and visual interest of the chandelier. I don't think there would be room for 3 fixtures with that model though.

According to Beverly's chart above you'd need a pole that's 6' long.

exactly, which would wobble like crazy! and who wants a fan at 8' in a 14' room... it would be so intrusive.

we bought one of those tower fans, it sits in the corner makes a nice breeze is silent. we put it in the closet in the fall and dont have to look at it again til summer. done and dusted.

You want the chandeliers to hang lower than the fans. They should be in your line of sight, so the bottom of the chandeliers should be about 8-9ft.

I can't tell anythng from the pictures you've posted, but IMO you probably want 5-6 ft between your hanging elements. Do you have that?

I like the idea of addressing air flow in a different fashion for the room. That one little ceiling fan won't accomplish much.

Here is a room with two chandeliers and no fan.

I'm estimating the ceiling height around 23 ft. The down rod on the fan looks about 5ft. Surprisingly I get great airflow from that old fan way up there. The living room is a sanctuary in the summer, that one old fan keeps it so cool. But our air is very dry and we're in the mountain so it only gets really hot here about one month in the summer. So placement on the chandelier. If I put the bottom of it at 10' it will clear that beam going across the windows and be visible from the street. Too high? Also center to center the fans will be 10' apart and the center of chandelier will be 5' from each fan. I still want to do 1 chandelier and 2 fans.

I bought my fans from Hansen. I installed two ceilings fans and they were on one circuit that had two switches. I wanted to get the remote controls for each fan but the Hansen person said there would be (I think) polarity issues and he did not recommend it. I ended up getting fans with pull chains and am very happy with them. I really like the lighted fans, but if you don't, see if you could at least get ones with "up lighting". You cannot see any lights on those.

UPDATE: We got the ceiling painted! :-) We are waiting to install the 2 fans until next summer to see if we need them or not.

Question on window treatments. My style is transitional. I'm going to purchase the white Ikea Ritva curtains and add pinch pleats myself to hang on rings along the bottom windows. Should I do a bronze curtain rod, or white? I'm leaning towards white. Thanks.

I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if the OP happened to go ahead and install the two fans yet? Any pictures? I am dealing with the same dilemma. I have a 12 foot wide x 22 foot long sun room with a cathedral ceiling. Two fans have been ordered but there is wiring for some kind of lighting in between. I am unsure about a chandelier vs. a shorter light that does not hang below the fan blades. Ceiling height is about 16 feet at the peak.

I am wondering the same! We have put up two fans (60" diam) and have a railroad tie edison light chandelier to hang in the middle. NO IDEA about height or placement IT is on an outside patio, therefor the fans are somewhat close together

Hi! Any update on this? We are also contemplating having two fans with a chandelier in between. Our sunroom is roughly 13 by 19 ft with a gable roof that is 13 ft high at the peak. Thanks!

We have a mountain home with a long great room. We have a ceiling fan over the kitchen area and a ceiling fan over the sitting area near sitting area in front of the fireplace. Our room is about 35 feet long and 20 wide and has a vaulted ceiling with a flat center. The ceiling is about 18 feet. I have purchased a deer antler chandelier and I plan to center the chandelier between the fans and at a lower level. I'm not sure if this will look crowded?
