Thanks patty cakes! The exterior coach lights are Minka - Dark Sky. I couldn't find any exterior fixtures that I liked in a black finish to match our wrought iron doors and balcony railings, so I ordered a different finish, had an electrician pull they wiring out, took them to a powder coater to make them black and then had them re-wired by the electrician. The interior lighting was much easier. The formal living room, foyer and dining room are all Kalco - Palladium series, the master suite is a mixture of Designers Fountain - Windsor Heights series and Cristal - Versailles Lorraine series, the study is World Imports - Olympus series, the master foyer is World Imports - Hatillo series, the powder room is World Imports - Berkley Square series, the kitchen, butlers pantry and family room areas are Golden Lighting - Highland Park series, the upstairs bathrooms are Cristal - Somerset series, DD1's bedroom is Designers Fountain - Calais series and the DD2's bedroom is World Imports - Bijoux Dressed in Black series. I vote no on the hanging down light kit. Extends too far into the living space, the light is too close and too glary as it is either bare bulbs or glass shades. It looks declasse' in my opinion (sorry light kit lovers.) I agree about lights above the ceiling fan, the strobe effect. It is hypnotic and unpleasant. The only one with a light that I'd consider was at Home Depot and it had a cute little 18th-century type chandelier hanging down from it,as ceiling fans with lights go it was pretty nice. Just scoured their site and don't see the exact one, but this is sort of like it. They also have one that's very woodsy with faux antlers and a "stump" as the top shaft. I won't have ceiling fans in the house period. I hate them and find here in Dallas that they simply are not missed or needed. As I've said before, why would I want a small appliance hanging down from the middle of my ceiling? It's only about the next best decorating element to a window air conditioner. Bumblebeez - what problems specifically have you had with Hampton Bay? I've had the Garrison fan in my basement for more than 5 years in a large media/rec room. I live in the south and it runs pretty much non stop from April until September. I've never had any problems with it. When my husband broke a glass shade, he called Hampton Bay and we were able to purchase a replacement shade with no problems. I haven't had that same luck with other light fixtures. I'm curious how much you spend on a ceiling fan? The Garrison is around $200 - not astronomical, but not cheap. I've also bought a less than $100 Hampton Bay fan for a spare bedroom and I've had it for over 2 years with no problem. Most of the fans in my home are Hunter and I've never had to replace a single one of them in the 10+ years I've owned the home. I wanted to buy Hunter for the basement, but I couldn't find one I liked as much as the Garrison. I decided to try the Hampton Bay and I've been very pleased with it. I'm not saying it is the best fan ever made, but it works, looks nice, and is affordable.

lascatx I love that fan! Thanks so much! Do you think having a 30inch fixture is to big to put over a 42inch round table....even if it is, I think this is by far the nicest fan I've seen. The other one I loved was another one at Lowes, but when I went to buy it the salesman said the light was no better than a night light, which was not good for me... Cat Mom your Fan is beautiful, but think it's to contemporary for my kitchen. Thanks for showing it to me.
