Window treatments for drastically different window sizes

Hi. I need help figuring out Window treatments for my bedroom. I have a short, wide window (52 x30) and I've placed my bed below it. I plan on purchasing a bed with a headboard so I have to take that into consideration. Plus, a nightstand on each side of the bed. I also have another standard size window (57 x 50) in my bedroom.

I've purchased vinyl blinds for the standard window. I originally planned on doing vinyl blinds plus curtains for privacy reasons and to block out light.

I have no idea what to do for the short window. Should I also buy vinyl blinds? I was considering roman shades and no curtains. Is it too much to have vinyl blinds, roman shades, and curtains all in the same room?? Should I nix the vinyl blinds all together?

I recommend matching panels over shades for both windows, such as below. Note the rod placement and length as it relates to the window.

We need window treatments for privacy in the marina, and mostly for sun suppression. The amount of heat from the sun shining in is tremendous. Light colored window treatments will reflect quite a lot. Limo tint. You mean like they use on auto windows so you can't see in? Can you see out?

You might want to consider a valance over both the windows that treats these two window as one. That would hide the roller shades. You could have a this made in the same fabric as you have used for the panels in the other areas of the house. I would lean towards the roller shads instead of the panels in these two room since you have a small space to the side of the smaller window the panel may cover up more of the window then you want to.

It's difficult because the front window is super traditional with the arches and grids but all the other ones are very modern. Because of that, I would try to use the same window treatments to bring some cohesion between all of them.

Because you mentioned that drapery will interfere with the baseboard heater (AND because drapery shortened to end above with the heater will look like "high water pants"), I recommend inside mounted roller shades or blinds (one in each of the three upper windows), leaving the lower windows bare.
