This reminds me of w/ the Gross Grub cookbook. Even though it's aimed @ kids, it seems like something you might enjoy.

Comments (21)The party was a hit and so was my costume! We only made the deviled eggs and some Trick Or Treat Punch (frozen lemonade concentrate, orange powdered drink mix, and ginger ale and we cut up an orange to add to the pitcher). All the other food was delicious and a good time was had by all. Two of our guests didn't show up, but still it was a good time just catching up with old friends and got to meet some new people as well. Stay tuned for when I post pictures of me in costume! Comments (20)Thank you again, everyone! Hopefully next year, my Winifred costume will be completed, unless I come up with something else (and I have several ideas) ;). Sushipup, thank you! I haven't done much sewing on the machine until this year (the tulle on the cape and my cloak that I'm wearing for my Winnie costume). Contemplating dressing up Monday night for fun, and I might do Winnie for the fun of it (and that way, my mum can take better photos of me). Hocus Pocus came out when I was three years old and I grew up loving it ever since! Bette Midler dressed as Winnie for her annual charity event, Hulaween, tonight. She has said that it's her favorite film that she's ever done. I even made Book! The one I am pictured with is a second copy I am planning on sending my favorite YouTubers since they LOVE Halloween, too. Here is my personal one I plan on using in the future. 7 years agolast modified: 7 years agoCarol, I agree it's a fun time for food and decor. The Gross Grub book looks like a good fit. I've used a lot of Martha Stewart's recipes for Halloween parties over the years. A couple of my favorites are Witch Fingers and Man Toes. Can't even count how many times I've made them...both with pretzel dough and cookie dough. I found this pic of them online. They're kind of old news now, but not so much when I first started making them.

Linda, hopefully soon. I have to shave off my beard first and not quite ready to part with it-lol).
I'm actually not big on grossing people out with food lol. You all should have seen the food yesterday at the cast party. We sure do love to eat! Stromboli, guacamole, cake, ice cream, cookies (courtesy of me-they're called Cheesecake Cookies; they're flour, sugar, butter, and cream cheese with a splash of vanilla, about 1/4 tsp. or so. )
Here's part of my costume, actually. The jacket's made of two different types of fabric, but you can hardly tell in the photo. I'm even doing the pose my character does in stills from the film. I did a little detailing with gold fabric paint as well. Still lost on who I am going to be?

I had mum take some photos of me and I posted them on FB, but here you all go ( I don't have the teeth yet, and I didn't put on the nails, either; Have to fix the earrings, too). I made the dress, shoe covers (crocheted), necklace, (some things I altered and sewed, some just were perfect for it!), bought the broom (tied the green ribbon around it) and the cape is from Spirit Halloween). Book was also made by me. She was a lot of work, but I am touched by the love and support this has gotten. I cannot wait until next Saturday!! I hope you enjoy it, too!
