Comments (8)Soup would be great, and I may use that combination for my grand kids, but I don't have a Crockpot big enough for the gathering. About 10 or 12 of us will bring food, and this time, there's no co-ordination at all. That's why I'm stressing :P And I saw those eggs, too, and loved them, but I work all day Monday and then have to take the grand kids to soccer Monday night, so I don't think I'll have time for them this year. What about pimento cheese sandwiches? Dark bread and "orange" cheese should look appropriately seasonal, I hope. I have a Linzer cookie cutter with Halloween inserts--I could make the cheese Monday night and assemble the sandwiches Tuesday morning. Comments (21)The party was a hit and so was my costume! We only made the deviled eggs and some Trick Or Treat Punch (frozen lemonade concentrate, orange powdered drink mix, and ginger ale and we cut up an orange to add to the pitcher). All the other food was delicious and a good time was had by all. Two of our guests didn't show up, but still it was a good time just catching up with old friends and got to meet some new people as well. Stay tuned for when I post pictures of me in costume! Comments (10)We make these with Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo tequila (actually, he has sold it but still retains some interest). They are excellent, but they are STRONG. Cinnamon Girl 2 oz Cabo Wabo or other premium tequila 1/2 oz. orange juice 1 oz. Rose's sweetened lime juice (get in mixer section of supermarket/liquor store) 1/2 oz. Cointreau liqueur Cinnamon stick or ground sugar Mix liquid ingredients in shaker over ice. Pour into martini glass. Garnish with ground cinnamon or cinnamon stick Red Rocker 1.5 oz Cabo Wabo 1/2 oz amaretto 3 oz. cranberry juice splash lime juice/Rose's sweetened lime juice Mix ingredients in a shaker over ice and pour into martini glass. Bloody Maria 2-1/2 oz. Cabo Wabo Blanco Tequila 1/2 oz. Lemon Juice 5 oz. Tomato Juice Dash Tabasco® Sauce 1 Lime Wedge 1 Celery Stalk 1/8 tsp. Celery Salt 1/8 tsp. Pepper Stir well over ice cubes in a Collins glass, garnish with a celery stalk (can also be prepared in a shaker and poured without ice into a Collins glass)....See More

Full costume (the dress and hat were from a thrift store and I sewed black tulle to the hat. I also added strips of green tulle to the cape). Added tulle to the broom as well.
The shoes! I took my red heels I've been wearing for years for my costumes and transformed them into these with disposable pie tins, newspaper, tissue paper, glue and Mod Podge, black paint, and of course the black rhinestones. They were falling apart at the end of the night, but they got quite the compliments! :)

So, I decided to have a little fun last night and put on the costume that I originally wanted to wear for this year, but had to cancel it due to I couldn't find an essential piece of her dress (the gold detailed, bell-sleeved overcoat). Still, I hope you all enjoy it and that this particular costume will be completed next year :).

Thank you again, everyone! Hopefully next year, my Winifred costume will be completed, unless I come up with something else (and I have several ideas) ;).
Sushipup, thank you! I haven't done much sewing on the machine until this year (the tulle on the cape and my cloak that I'm wearing for my Winnie costume).
Contemplating dressing up Monday night for fun, and I might do Winnie for the fun of it (and that way, my mum can take better photos of me).
Hocus Pocus came out when I was three years old and I grew up loving it ever since! Bette Midler dressed as Winnie for her annual charity event, Hulaween, tonight. She has said that it's her favorite film that she's ever done.
I even made Book! The one I am pictured with is a second copy I am planning on sending my favorite YouTubers since they LOVE Halloween, too. Here is my personal one I plan on using in the future.
