Fabricator chip minimizer warranty vs asking for a rounded edge

When I was shopping for stone countertops a couple places said it's good to have a more rounded edge around the undercount sink edge to help prevent chips. One place had a "chip minimizer" warranty where they give you a very rounded edge along with a warranty for free chip fixes if it does chip in the future. I ended up choosing the place that has the optional warranty (for other reasons). When explaining what I want for my edges, I asked for a slightly more rounded edge around the sink. I don't want the chip minimizer because it's very round and I just don't bother with optional warranties anyways. Now they're giving me problems, saying if I want a rounded edge around the sink it means I want the optional warranty ($250). I don't mind paying a bit more for the additional edge, but it shouldn't be much as that rounded edge is not one of their extra cost edges. This all seems so silly and I'd go elsewhere but I already put a down payment on the stone.
