Can citrus winter outdoors in 7b
Comments (10)Bring them in is not an option so much I live in apartment and got carried away lol. I might have to green house the deck lol I hope few others chime in on this. Ure box looks great and wish I had room for it. It rarely gets below 32 here but sometimes we have freak winter where its 10 degrees for a day or two. I would 911 bring them in on nights below 30 degrees worst case I can take them to my moms house use guest room and daylight clf it like no tomorrow. I have until November the 15th to do something accorded to the 45 day forecast it will not go below freezing until then....See MoreTrash can cabinet vs extra column of drawers
Comments (61)I love my new double bin trash pullout. It solved 2 problems: 1. My first problem was with one of my dog's - Mocha. He is sort of a brainiac, and over the years has learned how to step on the trash bin pedal to open it up, and then search for "snacks". Heck, he's the reason I didn't get one of those foot pedals for water for the sink. There's no way he can figure out the trash pullout unless he decides to use his teeth on the pull. And he's getting old enough now that his teeth shouldn't be that strong anymore! ;) 2. The second problem was with my husband. It is a war to get him to take the trash out unless it's nearly overflowing - or they simply can't cram anything else into the bin. I swear they would walk a mile around a pile of trash before they would take it outside. Our outside trash is far enough away that it's a pain, but he should really just do it on his way out the door in the morning. The problem with that is, it's nearly overflowing by nightfall or after dinner. Now with 2 bins in the pullout, I can at least tie up the full bag so that no one else can try to cram anything else into it. There is a second one there for them to start on. Mocha is also bewildered where his snack bin has gone to....See MoreTrash Pullout Under 10" Deep Sink
Comments (30)Elaine Caputo, that is my set up, although my drain is offset to the rear center, but the drain pipe does run to and connect on the right side of the interior. It was easily done. I bought THIS REV-A-SHELF 2 bin pullout, installed on the left. I only use one of the tall bins that came with the unit - for recycling. I replaced the other bin with a smaller/shorter one for my trash - I didn't need such a large bin for trash, the smaller bin allows me to recycle grocery bags as trash bags, and leaves some room for whatever you like in the front. Of course you could use both tall bins. On the right, in front of the drain pipes, I put a 14" wide, 18" deep pullout. I think that there are also 2 tier pullouts that might work (depends on your pipes), but I installed a side wall mounted narrow pullout from Ikea above it (no longer made, I think). So, on this right side, I have my small lidded compost container (actually a small metal trash can), and plenty of room for my cleanser, sponges, rags, dishwasher cleaning tablets, and so on. The smaller, shorter items go at the back of the pullout to not bump the pipes. I keep frequently used tools (screwdriver, tape measure, flashlight) and a few other sundries in the wall mounted bin. I also have a garbage disposal and dish soap dispenser in there. My sink is a Blanco 28" (26" interior width) single bowl, and I love it's roominess....See MoreBlum Servo-Drive in Kraftmaid Trash/Recycle Drawer?
Comments (17)Gaaa, another decision to make! I'm glad you posted for help, aek9y, because otherwise this detail might have slipped by me. Is the Double Electric Assist Waste Containers that Rev-a-Shelf charges a ridiculous amount of money the same thing? Does anyone know if we accomplish the same thing with the Double Bottom Mount Rev-A-Motion⢠Wood Waste Containers with the IKEA Utrusta added to it? It might save us a little money but what it will gain us is a 1 1/4" of height, which will help since we're putting a pull-out garbage unit in our sink base beneath an undermount Silgranite sink (on the left side of a right drain sink). We're fine with 35 qt cans. We currently only have a 20 qt can under our sink. We won't have height issues with our other garbage pull-out in the island. We need 4 bins for garbage, mixed recycling, glass recycling and returnables and putting one beneath our sink was the only way to get 2 pull-outs in without giving up other much-needed storage. Would someone please measure the distance from the top of the can to the cab frame for the drawer above for me? I keep looking at the photos but I can't tell how much room there is between can and cab top to know what is possible for my situation. Thank you!...See Morejust_janni
