Oil rubbed bronze vs. dark oil rubbed bronze
Comments (10)Our door hardware is like that in your first photo - a very dark brown with just a touch of the lighter shade showing through. I really like it. I have found that matching it exactly in some of the other accessories that I've brought in has been impossible, but even that lighter shade looks just fine with it, IMO. I love ORB. I think I'll still love it even when it's no longer "in style." ;-)...See Moremixing chrome with oil rubbed bronze or stainless or other...

Comments (2)If you have an ORB light fixture, then I would do the cabinet hardware along with the towel bars and the sink faucet in brushed nickel. Yes, you want to mix your metals, but I like to keep "like" items in the same metal color so that it doesn't just turn into a mess, you want it to look like things were planned out and not just randomly selected. So keep all of the "water" related items around the sink and shower in the same color and then have your "lighting" elements in something different....See Morefinishes in bathroom
Comments (3)I would personally use polished nickel instead of chrome with ORB and hickory. Chrome has a cool blue undertone. Polished nickel has a warm gold undertone which goes better with brown colors....See MoreJudy Mishkin
