Plumbing Design Dilemma Bathrooms

Wall mounted controller/diverter& Deck mounted tub faucet/hand shower

We are doing a bathroom remodel with a drop in tub and separate shower. For the tub we want a deck mounted faucet and hand shower, but we want a single handle controller with diverter for the hand shower on the wall (unfortunately with our design the faucet can not be wall mounted). Can anyone help me out with finding this combination? Or give me the correct terminology to look for the right components. Thanks!

It appears you should search for "roman tub faucet hand shower". In my search results, most configurations put the hand shower on the deck as well ([example 1[(https://www.houzz.com/products/nameeks-l07us-remer-deck-mount-tub-filler-with-hand-shower-chrome-prvw-vr~114794575)) and those that put the hand shower on the wall have the hose exposed, not inside the wall ([example 2[(https://www.houzz.com/products/single-lever-one-hole-tub-filler-with-hand-shower-prvw-vr~12991528)). An all-in-one design.

Are you talking about having the hose come out of a trimmed hole in the tub deck, like a kitchen sprayer? Most faucet companies have trim for that purpose for their handshowers. Kohler calls them "handshower hose guide" or "deck- or bath-mount handshower holder". And then you need to attach the hose to a diverter valve from your tub filler faucet. Maybe this tub faucet would work for you? There are others with different handle types and finishes, too. Check out the Signature Hardware site at www.signaturehardware.com and go to Bathroom > Faucets > Floor Mount Freestanding Tub Fillers. The faucet height on this one is adjustable as well, since you can pick different lengths of risers. Your tub has to be somewhat close to a wall so the horizontal pipe braces can attach properly. Though the length of those might be adjustable as well, or maybe you could have someone make custom braces for you. Enjoy your new tub; I've heard great things about the Victoria and Albert York. Thanks so much for the suggestions and advice. I am concerned about being able to get the tub close enough for a faucet reach but far away enough to clean. Unfortunately, a floor mount is not ideal since we're on a concrete slab. A wall mount would be a much easier install. It would be on a wall backing up to the master closet, so I think we could also have a panel to access the plumbing. I really like the Newport brass fixture, although it's a bit more modern than fixtures we've used in the other bathrooms. I would like to use a readily available brand name so parts are replaceable.

Your best bet is to talk to the plumber. I have seen deck mount fillers with diverters and hand showers...but not the mix of the two. I think this will really be a custom job. I would be interested in seeing what they come up with.

I'm confused what you are looking for. A deck mount filler and hand shower? This means all components are on the deck.

Are you looking for help on the deck mount filler or the shower - it is not very clear to me.

Sorry, I'm a little confused myself. We want a deck mounted roman tub faucet with a handshower and wall mounted handle(s). My husband seems to think the handles on the tub get loose over time when mounted on the deck and that wall mounted would be more sturdy.
