grey and brown leather sofa?
Comments (12)I agree that the style of the brown recliner is off for the couch and the room, but to your questions, yes, grays and browns can work nicely together. Just look at a forest in the winter. Understand that I have been using gray for over 30 years well before it was trendy-- since way back in 1987 when I painted my kitchen cabinets and the trim work in the kitchen, breakfast room and adjoining den a greige called "Norwegian Wood." In my new house, I am using gray couches (smililar to the one you show) with brown leather chairs (in fact two different browns, one a grayer brown and the other a bit redder Brown, inspired from my fireplace stone that has grays, browns, rusts and camel (or a caramelly yellow color). I did bring in more colors and warmth from the rusts and caramels in the stone with a rug, but also a bit of blue with the rug, blinds, pillows and other elements. I am not a pro and others tastes may differ, but the look pleases me and I find it serene....See MoreDoes brown leather and grey couch work together?
Comments (53)Well, something's got to give. Either both girls get a recliner and parents are SOL, or you choose a layout that is attractive and sensible for the room as a whole and no one reclines lol. Or only those with a medical need recline ;) The first pic you posted in the last batch, with the two white sofas and two grey chairs, would work really well in your room. One of the chairs could recline. If you wanted you could use a sectional in place of the two white sofas. That's similar to what I was suggesting above. If you have an ottoman to put your feet up on would your younger daughter feel that was fair? Or would it make your husband more comfortable with saying, "life's not fair kid"? Comments (9)well, that's baloney. if the cabinets are prepped/primed and painted properly, they should last just as long as factory painted. I'm having mine sprayed with a pre-cat lacquer. does your quote mention how they prep and paint? if you want to reface, that's a great option as well. I would NOT go w/home depot or lowes because they gouge you w/the prices. contact a local cabinet maker and refinisher if doing that. have you thought about doing a tile floor? something large like 24x24 or 30x30 tiles? basalt would look great. its a deep charcoal or a porcelain but, they do have some decent looking laminate. this is Coretec. or polish your cement slab and of course Fla is famous for those terrazzo tiles as for the brick, I think it depends what else you will be doing w/the kitchen. if painting them white, and doing the floor in something lighter, then I think you could do a lime wash on your brick and paint those cabinets next to it. (you could do a diff color on those instead of the white) look at Romabio for your brick...See Morekulrn
