Small, new master bath - pedestal or vanity?
Comments (6)They both look nice, but personally I like the vanity with the vessel sink. It looks less cluttered. I am biased though, since I find pedestal sinks annoying. I'm always knocking things off of them, because I'm super clumsy! :) I like having the space to put my hair/make-up items right next to the sink, especially if the mirror over the sink is the only one in the room. If you just do the dresser and vessel sink, will you have more open space? Will you put something else where the pedestal would have been?...See MoreNew Build-Master Bath...10x9 aprox
Comments (9)We just renovated our ensuite, using a 5’ Vanity with a single sink, and my husband and I now share the bathroom quite comfortably. We each have our own bank of drawers and our own storage tower. The vanity we replaced had a single bank of drawers and no storage towers so, when we were in there together, we were constantly opening and closing each other’s drawer to get to our own drawer. It didn’t work at all! For us, individual counterspace and separate storage is far more important than separate sinks. We love the new vanity....See MoreNew build...master bath advice

Comments (19)I''d change the patio door to a window in a single heartbeat. Or eliminate it. Use that wall for the bed. Your "wishes" are exceeding what the footprint will allow. Move the bath entry to center on the bath window and bench. You will have the IDENTICAL amount o useful inches on bed wall, ( more if you reverse the entry door swing, ) and a direct route for both of you into the bath.............or not) Yes, it makes a bit longer walk to the closet in the middle of the day....ASSUMING THE BATH LOOKS LIKE below..........and your bed on on the far opposite wall, change door to window. . You can't have everything : ) A bank of linen drawers in place of the left side vanity will still put the focus ON your little window seat, and give you really good storage. Pop a beautiful mirror over and expand the light even more, while also "repeating" the mirror on the now right side vanity. It need not be perfectly symmetrical to be lovely and useful, especially for the long term. A trip around the bed, and bumping walls to get to a toilet......will render the cute little bench, not very cute when you hear the yelp and cussing in the middle of the night....See MoreKlein Kitchen and Bath
