Comments (20)Jyyanks, thanks and your room is very pretty. Oceanna, I have looked at living room, blue, green, gold and every other place. Over and over. I love looking at them. Thank you for doing all that work. I admire all the rooms and am amazed at all the talent on this site. Even though the ones from magazines are beautiful, I like the "real" homes, the ones that these posters actually "live" in. They are just as beautiful and yet there is so much more warmth and personality in them. Ladies and gentlemen you all are amazing! Keep the pics coming please. Comments (18)The wall color is SW Ramie. The chair was my grandmothers, and it is just sort of a placeholder right now. I have been searching for new chairs. I would really like to get 2 chairs, but I am unsure how to arrange everything. I would also like to get a new rug--I've been coveting a real hand-knotted forever. The current rug is very nice, 100% wool Couristan machine woven. It is in the same line as My3dog's lovely living room rug. They have been selling this line of rugs in the last year at Tuesday morning for less than half price. It doesn't come off quite as pale in person. I want to eventually move it into my bedroom, where it will be perfect. Does anyone have recommendations for a rug? What color scheme? I really like some of the orientals that are a bit more modern without a really tight or busy pattern. Something maybe like this: This rug is from Williams Sonoma home, and is way out of my price range at over $2K. Is it possible to get a hand-knotted for around $1K? I need at least an 8x10....See MoreI would like art work above my bed that has orange and possibly blue
Comments (13)I could see a more natural feel for this room being complimentary and ideas over headboard are below as well as for accessorizing Think about how you want the whole room to feel before adding more In sitting area, try high boy on other wall with mirror above and if you added a bookcase on the far wall and chair under window it will be a cozy little reading nook. A Kilim rug would be lovely there to ground the space. Another idea, if you have another spot for chair, you could make that area more functional with a vanity....See Moreart work above bed
Comments (9)Your wall paint is such a nice, deep color, and the mirrors are so interesting, I would most likely leave it plain. But it really depends on the entire room and balance you want to achieve, as well as the feel — calm and serene? More artsy and lively? Maximalist? Minimal? Will there be curtains? Amount of art on other walls? All factor in. Hard to say for sure and know context just seeing this wall. Elegant and serene: This is also a nice look: What feels best to you? ETA: If you’re really attached to that piece, I’d turn it: Ignore the art, just using to show scale and placement:...See MoreMarlene Crep
