Sherwin Williams Snowbound Paint Throughout?
Comments (22)I agree the Snowbound will look brighter against the White Dove. I would caution regarding the Snowbound on the ceiling, I considered it and had the painter paint many large samples in different areas and it took on a taupe/pink tone against my SW Crushed Ice walls and all dark wood floors and this is in an area that faces the west with a lot of afternoon sun. I ended up going with the SW Ceiling paint and its is awesome no matter what color is on your walls, it hides the imperfections if any in your ceiling too. I was originally concerned with the Ceiling paint conflicting with walls in some rooms painted Snowbound and cabinets up to the ceiling in Snowbound but no issue at all where the wall or cabinets meet the ceiling....See MoreChoosing a SW white paint
Comments (2)I had the same issues, I spent a good 6 month sampling a bunch of sw colors. I ended up with alabaster but it is not very pretty in my north facing spaces - it really comes out cigarette yellow. In my south facing rooms it’s much more neutral and much prettier. I had Greek villa as runner up and maybe it would have been better. I don’t like pure white, it was really depressing and ‘flat’ in our space. Another I liked was snowbound but it was more on the cool side in most of our spaces. Best you can do is to sample when you get access to the house....See MorePLEASE HELP WITH WHITE EXTERIOR PAINT
Comments (2)Thank you for responding. I've tried to take pictures of the paint samples on the wall but the samples in the pics never look like they do in person. My house right now is a brown mocha color. Im considering going with BM simply white but still worried it will be too bright when my entire house is painted. Luckily, the painter pushed us to this friday so it gave me one more week to decide. I originally wanted BM white dove or SW alabaster but im worried that the undertones of those colors may not work best with my terra cotta roof. I seem to like those colors more on houses with black/gray roofs. I did make poster boards which has helped me narrow down several colors. When i compared the poster boards with my terra cotta roof tile, i felt like the warm/yellow undertones (simply white/mountain peak) looked better with the roof tiles than white dove, alabaster and white heron....See MoreSnowbound looks blue?
Comments (3)Because the current wall color has a lot of yellow. We don't see colors independently, we see them in combinations and our minds compare the colors that we see to one another. The center block on all of these larger blocks is the same color, just shown on different backgrounds. What really matters in the end is what the color will look like next to the flooring, cabinets, countertops, trim. . . They are looking at the color next to a color that is going to be gone. They are going to cover the walls with a new paint color. What really matters is what the color will look like against the colors that are going to be there when the project is finished. They should be determining the wall color on how it works with their flooring, furnishings, cabinets, countertops . . ....See Morelucky998877
