Paint color suggestions for small open living and dining room
Comments (7)A big vote for a basic gray to be used throughout the whole area -- THEN add your orange accents in fabrics, artworks, rugs etc. In time -- and perhaps according to the seasons -- you MIGHT want to switch accent colors -- and this way -- it is easier to do .... Also -- perhaps consider waiting until you can find an inspiration piece -- like an area rug or artwork -- and THEN match the color and shade of gray -- MUCH easier to do in that order! :) For example check out BM Willowcreek #1468 -- a medium (but still fairly light warm gray) .... Hope you don't mind some thoughts!...See MorePaint suggestions for dining room, bedrooms, & office
Comments (1)I have BM peanut shell on my dining room walls & hallways. It's a rich warm color. As far as pale yellow, there is BM Windham Cream, which I used in my kitchen. I like the transition between it and the peanut shell....See MoreReally struggling with paint color for kitchen island and dining hutch
Comments (9)After getting over the giggles about the color names (who thinks those up?), I went to the SW site and looked at some of their suggestions. I kind of like this if you think you might like a green color. I got there by clicking on the colors in the color strip on this page: http://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW7029-agreeable-gray/#/7029/?s=coordinatingColors&p=PS0 I'll bet if you play around on this site for a bit you'll find some possibilities that speak to you....See MorePaint color suggestion for built in bar shelf.
Comments (14)One other observation...the whole view of the area in question looks very cluttered with all sorts of neat things to look at including in the kitchen...but if this was my space i would put some sort of see thru screen from the top of the cabs to the ceiling...not to block the view completely but for a backdrop for all the cool bar stuff without all the kitchen stuff competing...thinking like a mesh type of material...See MoreCelery.
