Comments (26)Well, you know me I could be wrong....lol. The Marble Queen is green/white, the jade is pure green, the golden is green/yellow flecks. Here are some pics from google, all the ones with the yellow are in my understanding the golden pothos. I have one pothos that is pure green, its my fav, its called a jade pothos. Hope this helped Tracy Here is a link that might be useful: google pics...See MorePothos leaves turning yellow after trimming
Comments (6)I totally believe in the water rooting method too. Back home, I've got tons of cuttings rooting in water just waiting to be potted. I didnt want to do it at my mom's place coz I'm just here for a couple of weeks. My folks don't care about plants as much as I do, so I didnt trust them to plant these correctly when the roots grew long enough. I thought I'd try the direct method so that all they have to do is water when I go back. Thankfully the yellowing has stopped. I've removed the yellow leaves - the pots look slightly bare but atleast whatever remains is green. Sadly, the mother plant no longer remains. I trimmed her completely to do these cuttings. She was sitting in a pot with no holes, in stinky, swampy soil. What remained of her should now be in plant heaven. I had one more question on this. Since I got my cuttings from a mature plant, the cuttings are all stiff i.e. they stand straight up. Even if they do grow new shoots and leaves, will they ever "spill over" the sides of the pots like I want them do. I want to have a bushy pot of pothos with no stems visible - just lush beautiful leaves. Do I pinch them later or something?...See MoreCutting nodes of Pothos?
Comments (34)Hi.. I have two pothos cuttings in water for over two years now and they seem well adjusted with lots of water roots.. I also have a couple of pothos plants in soil.. they r doing well for the time being.. my problem is with the new cuttings I got from my now established plants in soil.. none of my cuttings have sprouted roots in water even after over a month.. they start rotting at the cut stem end and the plant goes limp.. the cuttings mostly have 4-5 nodes.. I change the water every week to 10 days.. don't know what m doing wrong!...See MorePropogating Pothos
Comments (11)Sorry, I know nothing about using pictures from phones on here without putting them on computer first. If your other plant only grew 2 leaves this summer, then yes, the plants really could use more light if possible. There are many discussions about Pothos on the house plant forum also. Look also for the term Epipremnum, the botanical name, when searching for info. Occasionally heart-leaf Philodendron will be referred to as Pothos, but either appreciate the same cultural conditions. Ask yourself (and/or the owner of the plant) what is different from the conditions of the plant from which you took your recent cutting....See MoreJulianna
