I thought pothos dont multi-branch....????

I was told that when you cut back a pothos it normally only creates one new branch, so you stick your cuttings in with the mother plant to create a bushier effect. Well my jade pothos and my marble queen pothos is multi-branching. Some of them have three or four new branches coming off one main vine from the pot...two or three nodes in a row...is this normal, my plant will be huge if this continues....lol.
