kitchen dilemma
Comments (17)Questions from my first comment... I see you have BOTH a Dining Room and a "Nook" space -- pretty close to each other. Would you be willing to eliminate the Nook table/chairs and, maybe, put in a peninsula with a couple of stools? The Dining Room could then become your primary eating space.* Depending on what else is in the Nook space, you might be able to add more storage and, then, maybe eliminate the upper cabinets on the range wall -- that might help with the "off balance" look. There may be other options as well. E.g., How do you feel about opening up the wall b/w the Dining Room and Kitchen? Maybe banquette seating in the Nook against a far wall? We opened a wall and it was one of the best things we did!...See MoreTiny kitchen dilemma: Corner cooktop or cooktop next to fridge? Help!
Comments (32)Option 3. It gives you a very functional and esthetically beautiful kitchen. I would spend the money and scrimp and save elsewhere in a heartbeat if I had to. For example, if I had X amount of money saved up in the budget towards new appliances or a fancy backsplash tile, I would rather wait on one or several of those things verses settling for a crappy layout. Those things can be added later as you save up more $, but the layout is a done deal. There are quite a few things that I would find really dysfunctional and/or just plain annoying working in the first two layouts. I would kick myself daily if I purposely chose to drive myself crazy! 😖...See MoreTwo-tone kitchen dilemma
Comments (2)Either one will work. Wood will make it look like a stand-alone piece of furniture and a focal point. White will help it blend into the white walls (assuming you have white walls). Do you want it to blend or be a focal point?...See Morefinishes in kitchen dilemma
Comments (1)No. Stainless is neutral and goes with pretty much anything. I think a brushed stainless finish on a light fixture will look dated so best to avoid....See Morehallsandra9746
