Silgranit sink color for Alaska White granite?
Comments (16)Thanks for all the help, suggestions, and things to think about. And pictures! It sounds like I could probably do any of the colors and they would work. I guess I do need to think about wanting the sink to stand out or not. Probably not. Why draw attention to the dirty dishes sitting in it?! (= The truffle does look like a perfect match, and your CC and biscotti is beautiful. I'll guess I'll have to wait until I can see more items together, or until my designer can because some decisions will have to be made without me. But not without my input! The metallic gray might be great, or maybe not given my floor will be silver. The brown I'm afraid may be too dark. I'm not really doing much black so probably not that even though I love black. I guess I'm back to the lighter choices. And was I not thinking darker when I started this thread? Now you understand why I'm driving my poor designer crazy. :)...See MoreShow me your: dark counters with white undmt. sinks
Comments (10)If you don't want stainless, don't get it. Don't get talked into something you'll regret later. The brown Blanco silgranits I've seen are GORGEOUS! The brown is rich, deep and yummy. Again, I think it would work with what you describe. Can you take a sample of the Ceasarstone and paint to a plumbing supply showroom to look at it in person? Or you could call/email Blanco for a sample of their darker silgranit. I did that, and samples came very quickly. The samples are small, but at least you have a hands-on visual to show GC. I had a white sink before demo. They are classically beautiful. I loved it, but it got scratched over the years and my water here leaves orangey/brown marks around the sink-mounted faucet. Undermount would have alleviated that problem for me. Still, it showed dirt and any little gray surface mark all the time. For a while, I scrubbed it every night. Now with the little kids, I don't have the energy to do that. A dark silgranit sink won't show all that stuff! Someone here wrote that they actually had to REMIND themselves to clean the sink because you couldn't see the gunk! Hey, maybe GC says to do stainless because he's never done silgranit before!...See MoreCafe brown sink vs. white sink with matheran granite in kitchen update
Comments (9)Its a softer gray that seems to work with black, grey orcream. Silgranit will send samples fairly quickly. My granite is called aries white with browns, creams, grey, white and cream. The cinder seems to blend in while i think the Silgranit brown seems to be mord bold and bright but still nice looking. Good luck!...See MoreHow dark to stain cabinets w/ Alaska White granite?
Comments (28)The Mushroom Tinted Varnish, which has a hint of ?taupe, is lovely with your countertops. It doesn't really look white. Any temptation to do uppers & lowers in that color? The Macadamia also looks nice with your stone & I would probably choose that one with the Cappacino lowers. I have true white cabinets & American Black Walnut floors. My cabinets are fine but the floors - dents galore. We are empty nesters but I'm always dropping stuff. Edit: I just read your post that you may change countertops. In that case, the Cappucino & Macadamia (lighter white). The Walnut floor is gorgeous & I would not give that up but the somewhat busy countertop, high level of variation in the walnut floors & 2 colors of cabinets could be too many things going on. Just a thought as I'm not one of those people that can visualize everything together. I have to see a picture. edited again: I keep writing Chestnut instead of Cappucino....See Morepatti_bee
