Anyone with experience using Obagi skincare?
Comments (24)What about laser treatments? I wonder if anyone has had real success with them. I did a series of them a few years ago for my many spots. (I have freckles, which I don't mind, but now I also have sun damage spots mixed in, making my face look like some sort of sepia-toned map of the world when I don't have makeup on.) The laser turned a lot of the spots darker at first, then they basically fell off. I have one biggish spot in particular on my cheek that bothers me more than anything, and that one didn't go away completely but it was definitely lighter. The problem is, within a year all the spots were back. I can't afford to do laser treatments all the time! I even had a dermatologist try to "burn" off that one dark spot with that thing they use to burn off minor moles. That didn't work a bit. I do have the Obagi hydroquinone cream that I bought from Amazon. Unfortunately, I'm not that religious about using it but an aesthetician told me with these products you have to really use them religiously for many months to see a real difference. When I did use it religiously for a while, what I noticed is that the spots darkened at first (I didn't use it on my whole face, just on a couple of really annoying spots) and then peeled a bit, and finally they did lighten up. So I'm trying to do that again. What I really want is a magic instant eraser! I am in the middle of a second series of microdermabrasion treatments that I started last spring. I go about once a month (I didn't go in summer). I think that has lightened some of the smaller spots, and definitely makes my skin look clearer in general....See MoreDoes anyone dry brush??
Comments (9)No, but once a few winters back I noticed my arms seemed drier than usual, so I got my loofa thingy out of the shower and scrubbed really hard under the kitchen sink in hot water and soap, both arms. My arms were beet red all day, but the next day they were as silk and smooth as a baby's behind! So now I get in the shower just to do that. Real HARD, and I make sure I don't have to go anywhere. I don't know about dry brushing, I'd probably scar myself up! lol...See MoreHas anyone used those eyelash growing cosmetics?
Comments (14)@Chi83 i don't get acne from philosophy purity now but when i first started using it i did but kept using it since i had bought a big 32oz lol. 9 yrs ago i started using it because of the reviews too, i have oily skin and could barely stand to use a cream cleanser but it really works well for me now. make sure you rinse alot. this spring i got a clarisonic and that has made a tremendous difference in my skin's clarity, smoothness and firmness! sounds like a commercial but i can't live w/o it now. i use alot of their facial products along w/ most of the body and scent ones. back to the eyelashes, i was tempted to try latisse, even thou i don' really need it, i was hoping for darkening and using no mascara. the eye color warning changed my mind, i admit. i have green-hazel eyes and don't want brown-hazel. my friends already has brown eyes and saw no changes in eye color or under eye color. ~ liz...See MoreClarisonic review from a new user
Comments (17)Holly-kay: My face feels great after using it. If your skin is stinging with night cream, I would agree with the logic that it could be from the spinning (I'm certainly not an expert, but it makes sense). I'll sound like a commercial for Clarisonic, but I guess it shows how happy I am with the product. Why not get it to see if it works better than your current device? I've seen first hand that they have a generous return policy if you don't see an improvement. Like I said above, I returned to Ulta after a few weeks. The guarantee is 90-days, but that is through Clarisonic. When I called Clarisonic they said returns to them could take 6-8 weeks for a credit (and they suggested returning to Ulta first since it was within 30 days)....See MoreChi
