Game Room Decorations
Comments (6)OA, no didn't make the ornament candle holders....those actually were from my Mom probably 12-13 years ago, and they still have the $2.99 stickers from Garden Ridge on the bottom, which means she got them for about $.75 each! LOL .... there's where I get it! They have never really had a home and these leftovers just seemed to fit. Bright, I'll have to try that.... I know that the cabinet it is sitting on is pretty ugly. When purchased, it was slated to be refinished which obviously has not happened, one day. Or on second thought, kids are getting close to heading off to college and those pieces can head off with the kids and I can replace with something really special for me! Comments (12)Thanks for your suggestions! The throw is a gold color. I actually took it from my living room (which is next to my family room) and the Living room is painted gold (BM Adam's Gold). Because the LR is painted a gold, I did not want to paint my Family room gold. SO...I took the bold move a painted the room chocolate brown. I like it...I looks good. The White frames really pop against the chocolate brown. On a wall that is not pictured, I want to do a wall collage of white frames with bright/fun family photos. (If anyone has suggestions for photo collages with white frames and a template, please let me know. I found one online but it was $350 for the template and 10 frames...and I am not willing to spend that much $$) We painted the wall with the TV a light blue as an accent. The TV/Entertainment center is gone. We got a new flatscreen...I am waiting for the new console. I am shopping for blue panels to add some more color/warmth. I agree with the coffee table suggestion...I will be buying a round coffee table with stools that fit underneath so that my kids have a space for eating a snack or playing a board game. Thanks again for all the suggestions and feel free to keep them coming! I will post pictures of the final product (assuming I ever finish...LOL!)...See Morehelp me decorate my new beautiful home please
Comments (16)Sara Skiz, that's a beautiful rug and while the room does feel a bit heavy, I think that can be alleviated by spreading the furniture out a bit more and choosing some lighter art and accessories. As for the bar stools, can you give us a shot that shows how this area relates to the counter? That is, a photo that has the seating area and counter in the same shot?...See MoreHelp decorate upstairs Loft
Comments (14)@ ShadyWillowFarm We tried to place the longer reclined against the longer wall (beside the shelf of games) but we were not able to recline all the chairs that way. So we swapped them and now all the chairs can be reclined. But who really needs to recline them all at once anyways. I like your ideas especially the second pic. I agree a larger cabinet like that will provide more storage. I will look into that....See MoreAndie
